I don’t have any problem accepting good principles of Jesus’s teaching and its application in life.  But, I have problem in accepting the misinterpretation of that principles and its conflicting application by his followers.  According to research, more than 80% of sickness is coming from our own mind.  When, Jesus talks about the lameness, sickness, and blindness, he is referring to the spiritual condition of the mind.  If a person thinks that he or she cannot walk or see, it is going to be so.  If we respect our body and mind equally, we will be able to avoid much sickness, medicines we are using, and have a healthy life.   In order to do this, you have to have a balanced outlook on life.  Religion with its wrong interpretation made people believe that they can have everything from a god the religion created for them.   First you learn more about this complex body and communicate with the spirit dwells in you and come in terms with that.   There is no god sitting somewhere in the sky and watching you whenever you screw up things.  Whatever happens to you and that is based on hour action.  If you eat too much, get drunk, use drug then you will get swollen up and die with a heart attack, diabetes or high blood pressure.    The spirit within each one of us is responsible for the bad or good choice we make.   We all will die one day and it is our choice how to live on this beautiful earth.  No god can decide it.   Jesus knew that and he wanted to share that information with the world.  But, the crooked religion and its stooges manipulated that information and twisted it.  My friend, SchCast, think little deeper and you will understand what I am saying.  Otherwise you can have superficial life and that is your choice.

It is such a shame that some people make ludicrous arguments based on this tragic news. My heart-felt condolences to the grieving family.

World Malayalee Conference in 1995 in New Jersey was one of the unforgettable event
I participated not because I was a Committee member and my daughter was the MC.
but large number of malayalees participated with the true Kerala spirit.  Eventhough I did not have any major role in these conferences, I used to participate in the FOKHANA
conferences befor the split. Eventhough we the Americans Malayalees do not expect
miracles, lt it go just to enthuse our early immigrants.

As  it is known Raju Mylapra's articles are not only funny, but thought provoking too.
Inviting Kerala politicians, movie actors, religious hirarcies to this country, in any way,
won't do any good to our third generation, but perhaps enthuse the older folks.

SchCast you are absolutely right, Water and oil will not mix. But unfortunately church fathers proved/trying to prove both can be mixed. According to bible earth created around 6450 years before but any LP school student know it is billions of years. God created SKY and Earth, never created hell but church fathers' are threatening everyone with 'thuruppu' card HELL. God created Men and Women with his own image, So God is Male or Female ? Then where is the female God. through out Bible it God the Father not God the Mother. My friend hundreds of example for Water and Oil Mixing is there in all Religion. Nothing wrong in accepting good teaching from any great personalities whether you are an atheist, agnostic or a believer.

My family and I want to send our love and heartfelt sympathy to all the friends and family of Bishop Ninan in this difficult hour. Bishop Ninan was a great model for all; he was a very humble person with a loving heart. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. We will keep Kouchamma and family in our prayers.

Anthappan's writings always center around Christain teachings. On one hand, he wants to acknowledge the goodness of those principles and on the other he wants to peddle his own theology of atheism. Water and oil will not mix, my friend and so is those two. If you study the Bible carefully, you will come to realize that Jesus lived the life he taught. He did not just ask the lame to walk, he healed his lameness. It is not by his power the blind man saw, but due to the fact that Jesus healed his blindness. By semi-facts and partial observations, please do not mislead the readers. About the song - as far as I know this song is sung only in a sad occasion. The question of singing it on a daily basis does not rise at all! The melancholic tune is depressing indeed as the occasion demands it.

Shri P V Thomas narrated the case very well. I am sure Mr. Thomas remember a similar case of 1985. Only difference there it was Prime Minister directly involved, here foreign Minister and a state chief minister. Rajiv Gandhi government had allowed Warren Anderson CEO of Union Carbide (who was first accused in Bhopal gas tragedy killed 3800 innocent people in 1984) to flee as an arrangement with US govt on giving a presidential pardon to Adil Shahryar. Adil, who was given a federal sentence of 35 years in prison for various crimes, was given a presidential pardon by US president Ronald Reagan in 1985. “Goodwill gesture” on occasion of Rajiv Gandhi’s visit to U.S in 1985. Adil was Rajiv Gandhi’s childhood friend also.

Mylapra is pointing out some naked facts. Congratulations and thanks for another good article for readers. Some writers and poets in E- Malayalee are very stubborn. They know no one reads it. But keep on writing them to annoy the readers. Perhaps they may be following the 'negative trick' in advertisement business. They put ugly and annoying characters, people try to ignore it and avoid it, but more and more it pops up in front and in the mind. Example is the adv of an insurance co, with fat, ugly women with lot of red lipstick
What has world malayalee council done so far ?  other than standing on stage in full suit and publishing some phots ?  Hope one of the great leaders or load bearers will list their accomplishments.
Bishops and mission hospitals - the true facts happening is very different dear .

I cannot agree with Ravethi’s contention that we should accept whatever Babu Paul utters because he doesn’t display his title when he writes.   There are people with and without titles say stupid things.   Here, his title or humility is not in question.  The question is whether he used the word Thantha and Thalla appropriately.  My observation is that he used Thalla and Thantha in his article, to express his scorn and hatred towards the way Malayalees are adopting something which is invented by westerners.   When we keep on reading the article, we find that he is using Amma frequently which, for him at least, express the true love.   But, as time changes, we see a degradation, in all over the world, in the way people are maintaining their relationships.  Nobody has time to take care of the parents when they get old so they send them to old age home.  And, in order to get rid of the guilt of not taking care of the parents, they came up with the idea of sending flowers or gift to the parents.  But, the truth of the matter is that no gift can replace true love which heals all wounds.   Another problem is that Malayalees very rarely use polite words to address each other because of their falls ego.  And, they use titles, houses, cars, and associations with politicians and religious leaders to project their pride which springs from stupidity.

Even though Mylapra has a good sense of humor, most of the time he finds the negative aspects of good deeds. How come he is writing his articles in Malayalam? Don't forget the good thing World Malayalee Council did for Malayalees all over the world. And the Bishops build schools and hospitals in Kerala with the fund they are raising. Most of the poor church members get free treatment in their speciality hospital. Be more realiztic in your writing.
