Pissed Off2013-11-20 15:28:07 NewsI agree with Mathulla. Some of these people running for this position think that they can fool the public all the time. The reason they want to be in position is to enhance their businesses like grocery store, real estate and insurance. Their manifesto is going to be like
Dance and the cycle continue. One time they brought out all the people from different denomination to vote for the candidates. Most of these people never participate in an American Election or loca city elections where their children are going to settle down. We take our dirty politics where ever we go. And then we invite crooks from Kerala and add on to our circus. We are making mockery of ourselves as a commentator suggested. Go for it clowns!
Mathulla2013-11-20 13:31:40 NewsThe FOMAA/FOKKANA division has caused too much damage to the Malayalee community here.
Though I didn't work for the division, I hoped that two
national organizations will energise the leadership in a competitive
spirit to organize the Malayalee community here to bring them under
these two organizations. That didn't materialize. Now, inadvertentatly
or not, the division has helped to bring to the Board of Malayalee
Associations, candidates by compromise between these two groups instead
of election by the members. Candidates who had no chance to win in an
election got through this back door method, and this caused damage to
the community. There was no unity or team spirit in the Board in
Houston, and all types of vested interests influenze decisions that
affect the community. The same situation must be in other cities also. I
have reasons to believe that religious and racial groups bent on
dividing and ruling were behind the FOMAA/FOKKANA division. Instead of
compromise, members must go for direct election as this process will
eliminate undesirable elements. It is better to vote for a strong team
with a good election manifesto or agenda to accomplish than individual
members with agenda to enrich their on pockets or with other vested
Anthappan2013-11-20 10:34:13 NewsVidhyadaran’s comment prompted me to read the article by Ms. Rahamatthu. It is indeed a well written article. And, Vidyadaran has complemented it with the right response. If the trend continues this way the land (Kerala) will be a lost land instead of God’s own land. It is time to take out that name than mocking ourselves with it.
