Indian National Overseas Congress, USA strongly denounces the planned reception of  Francois Gautier, a self-hating Catholic by the Sangh Parivar Organizations in the USA. Mr. Gautier has become a useful tool in the hands of the religious extremists in India, and it is quite unfortunate that he has been brought to these shores to promote a communal and hateful agenda by the vested interests. 

According to Gautier, any Indian admirer of Mother Teresa, has a colonial mindset and his blog list of enemies of Hinduism include Indian National Congress Party and its founding leadership. His offensive utterances against the Nehru family give fodder to the Hindutva brigade to attack and defame a great legacy that has contributed so much in building up a modern India. His hostility to the civil society is well documented, and he remains a boisterous advocate on behalf of those who spews venom of hatred and bigotry.  Apparently, Mr. Gautier is in cahoots with Hindu ultra-nationalists in their efforts to do away with a pluralistic India to be supplanted by a ‘Hindu Pakistan.'

The Indian community in the US needs to be vigilant against those who are importing these polarizing advocates of communalism from India against the ethos and values of this great nation which stand for openness, diversity, and justice for all.
