വാഷിംഗ്ടണ്‍: റിപ്പബ്ലിക്കന്‍ ഹിന്ദു കൊയലേഷന്‍ സ്ഥാപകനും പ്രസിഡന്റുമായ ശലഭ്  ഷല്ലി കുമാറിനെ  ട്രാന്‍സിഷന്‍ ഫിനാന്‍സ് ആന്റ് ഇനാഗുറേഷന്‍ കമ്മിറ്റിയില്‍ നിയമിച്ചതായി നിയുക്ത പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഡോണാള്‍ഡ് ട്രംപ് അറിയിച്ചു. റിപ്പബ്ലിക്കന്‍ ഹിന്ദു ഓര്‍ഗനൈസേഷന്‍ അറിയിച്ചതാണിത്. ട്രംപിനുവേണ്ടി ഹിന്ദു വോട്ടുകള്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കിയ കുമാര്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് പ്രചരണത്തിനായി 8,98,000 ഡോളറാണ് സ്വന്തം പേരില്‍ നല്‍കിയിരുന്നത്.

ലഭിച്ച അംഗീകരാത്തിന് ട്രംപിന് പ്രത്യേകം നന്ദി പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതായി കുമാര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. 'അമേരിക്ക ഗ്രേറ്റ് എഗെയ്ന്‍' എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യവുമായി അധികാരത്തിലെത്തുന്ന ട്രംപ് ഗവണ്‍മെന്റിന് എല്ലാവിധ പിന്തുണയും നല്‍കുമെന്നും കുമാര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു.

ട്രംപിന്റെ കാബിനറ്റില്‍ യുണൈറ്റഡ് നേഷന്‍സ് പ്രതിനിധിയായി നിക്കി ഹെയ്ലി, ഡോ. സീമാ വര്‍മ്മ എന്നിവരെ ഇതിനകം നിയമിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞു. കൂടുതല്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വംശജരെ പ്രധാന തസ്തികയില്‍ നിയമിക്കുമെന്ന് കുമാറിന്റെ നിയമന കാര്യം അറിയിച്ച ട്രംപിന്റെ വക്താവ് അറിയിച്ചു. പഞ്ചാബിലെ അമൃത്സറില്‍ നിന്നുളള ഷാലി കുമാര്‍ ഷിക്കാഗോ ആസ്ഥാനമായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന എവിജി അഡ്വാന്‍സഡ് ടെക്‌നോളജിസ് ചെയര്‍മാനാണ്.

 

Top RHC Organizers Gain Posts In Trump Administration

WASHINGTON, DC – The architects of the historic Abki bar Trump Sarkar campaign, which turned over 850,000 Hindu votes from Democrat to Republican in the weeks leading up to the election, are gaining influence in the developing Trump administration. 

Steve Mnuchin, who served as National Finance Chair for the Trump campaign, has been nominated to be Secretary of the Treasury; Shalabh “Shalli” Kumar has been appointed to the Transition Finance and Inauguration teams.  Kumar and Mnuchin met with Mr. Trump in July at Mr. Mnuchin’s home in Southampton, NY, where Kumar discussed his vision for the Abki bar campaign, and Mr. Trump agreed to participate.  

Mnuchin and Kumar collaborated on the Republican Hindu Coalition’s Humanity United Against Terror event in New Jersey on October 15, and on other events during the campaign, including a meet and greet between Donald Trump and Hindu leaders in Orlando just days before the election, as well as a visit by Eric Trump to a Hindu Temple.  

As a member of the transition team, Mr. Kumar will review nominees for the administration and provide input to the President-elect and his team.  He will also help organize events and celebrations surrounding the President’s inauguration on January 20, 2017.

Statement by RHC on President-elect Trump’s Telephone Call with Pakistani PM Muhammad Nawaz Sharif

“The Pakistani government has released a readout of the President-elect’s call with PM Sharif. I believe that President-elect Trump would make supportive and kind statements about the Pakistani people and PM Sharif. President-elect Trump extends a hand in peace and friendship to all countries and all people who will deal fairly with the United States and who seek a more peaceful and prosperous world. Under a Trump administration, we will put America first, and will support alliances around the world that benefit the stability and welfare of all people.

“President-elect Trump has said that under a Trump administration, the U.S. and India will be “best friends”, and that he loves the Hindu and Indian people, and particularly admires Prime Minister Modi.
