കാറപകടത്തില്‍ മരിച്ച മലയാളിയുടെ കുടുംബത്തെ സഹായിക്കാന്‍ ഫണ്ട് സമാഹരിക്കുന്നു
ഞായറാഴ്ച ഉണ്ടായ അപകടത്തില്‍ പ്രിസിലിനു പുറമെ ഇന്ത്യാക്കാരനായ റുപ്രേഷ് ഉപ്രെതിയും കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.
ഹോണ്ടാ സിവിക് കാറിന്റെ പിന്‍ സീറ്റിലായിരുന്നു ഇവര്‍.കാര്‍ ഓടിച്ചിരുന്ന റൗല്‍ അംബ്രോസിയോ ചിലെല്‍-27, വണ്‍ വേ തെറ്റിച്ച് അതിവേഗത്തില്‍ ചെന്ന് എതിരെ വന്ന ഒരു പിക്കപ്പ് ട്രക്കിനെ ഇടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. റാലിനൂം മുന്‍ സീറ്റിലിരുന്ന മറ്റൊരാള്‍ക്കും പരുക്കേറ്റു. പിക്ക് അപ്പ് ഡ്രൈവര്‍ക്കും പരൂക്കേറ്റു.
ആശുപത്രി വിട്ട റൗലിനെതിരെ കൊലക്കുറ്റം ചുമത്തി. മദ്യ ലഹരിയിലായിരുന്നു അയാള്‍. ഇല്ലീഗലായി കഴിയുന്ന അയാള്‍ക്കെതിരെ ഇമ്മിഗ്രേഷന്‍ അധിക്രുതരും രംഗത്തു വന്നു.
കാര്‍ തെറ്റായ ദിശയില്‍ ഓടിക്കുന്നത് ആരൊ പോലീസില്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്ത് മൂന്നു മിനിട്ടിനകം അപകടം സംഭവിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
പ്രിസിലിന്റെ സംസ്‌കാരം ഇന്ന് (ശനി) ഹാള്‍ വെയ്ന്‍ ഫ്യൂണറല്‍ സര്‍വീസില്‍ നടത്തും. (1113 വെസ്റ്റ് മെയിന്‍ സ്റ്റ്രീറ്റ്, ഡറം)
തുടര്‍ന്ന് ചിതാഭസ്മം നാട്ടിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടു പോകും.
പ്രിസിലിനു നാട്ടില്‍ ഭാര്യയും എട്ടു വയസുള്ള മകളുമുണ്ട്. എല്ലാവരെയും പോലെ അമേരിക്കന്‍ ഡ്രീംസുമായെത്തിയ പ്രിസിലിനു അകാല വിയോഗമാണുണ്ടായത്. ഹോട്ടലില്‍ ആയിരുന്നു ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്നത്. ഫ്യൂണറല്‍ ഹോമിലെ ചെലവുകള്‍ ഹോട്ടല്‍കാര്‍ വഹിക്കും.

Pricil A. Chundapurakal of Durham, North Carolina, was a passenger in the back seat of a Honda Civic that was involved in a fatal crash with a pickup truck. The accident happened on January 21st, 2018. Pricil was pronounced dead on the spot. His fellow passenger in the back seat of the car died at the hospital. Both the driver and the front seat passenger are in critical condition at the hospital.
Pricil is survived by his wife Swati and his 8 year old daughter living in India. He was working for a restaurant in Durham. Apparently, due to unfortunate situations the family is in, taking his body back to India was not an option. His funeral is scheduled for tomorrow Saturday, February 3rd at 10AM. His ashes will be sent to his wife and daughter for due performance of all the religious duties and obsequies to the dead.

Apparently, the restaurant he worked for has agreed to help with all the expenses for his funeral. All the money we raise with the GCKA drive will be handed over to his family. Pricil came to this country from India just like all of us did. For a better future for a wife and kid he loved. Unfortunately, fate was not in their favor.
