യാക്കോബായ -ഓര്‍ത്തഡോക്‌സ്‌ സമാധാന ശ്രമവുമായി മുന്നോട്ടു പോകുമെന്ന്‌ പാത്രിയാര്‍ക്കീസ്‌ ബാവ

തിരുവനന്തപുരം: കേരളത്തില്‍ യാക്കോബായ ഓര്‍ത്തഡോക്‌സ്‌ വിഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ തമ്മിലുള്ള തര്‍ക്കം പരിഹരിക്കാന്‍ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയന്‍ മുന്‍കൈയെടുത്തതിനെ പരിശുദ്ധ ഇഗ്‌നാത്തിയോസ്‌ അപ്രേം ദ്വിതീയന്‍ പാത്രിയാര്‍ക്കിസ്‌ ബാവ അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു.
മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ ഇടപെടലും അതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി തനിക്ക്‌ അയച്ച കത്തും പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ പരിഹരിക്കുന്നതിന്‌ വലിയ പ്രചോദനമാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു. ബുധനാഴ്‌ച കാലത്ത്‌ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ ഔദ്യോഗിക വസതിയില്‍ നടന്ന കൂടിക്കാഴ്‌ചയിലാണ്‌ പാത്രിയാര്‍ക്കീസ്‌ ബാവ ഇക്കാര്യം പറഞ്ഞത്‌.
സഭാവിശ്വാസികളില്‍ ബഹുഭൂരിഭാഗവും തര്‍ക്കങ്ങള്‍ പരിഹരിച്ചു
സമാധാനപരമായി മുന്നോട്ട്‌ പോകണമെന്ന്‌ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവരാണെന്ന്‌ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി
പ്രതികരിച്ചു. അതുകൊണ്ട്‌ സമാധാന ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ പരിശുദ്ധ പാത്രിയാര്‍ക്കീസ്‌ ബാവ
തുടരണം. ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്ന്‌ എല്ലാവിധ പിന്തുണയും
ഉണ്ടാകും.
തര്‍ക്കങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ ഒരു നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലേറെ പഴക്കമുണ്ടെന്നും അതിനാല്‍
ചര്‍ച്ചകള്‍ ഫലം ചെയ്യില്ലെന്നും വാദിക്കുന്നവരുണ്ട്‌. എന്നാല്‍ അതിനോട്‌ താന്‍
യോജിക്കുന്നില്ലെന്ന്‌ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ചര്‍ച്ചകളിലൂടെ തര്‍ക്കങ്ങള്‍
പരിഹരിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുമെന്ന്‌ തനിക്ക്‌ ഉറച്ച വിശ്വാസമുണ്ട്‌. കാരണം
വിശ്വാസികള്‍ക്ക്‌ സമാധാനമാണ്‌ വേണ്ടത്‌ എന്നും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി
പറഞ്ഞു.
കോടതിവിധികള്‍ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും സമാധാനത്തിനുള്ള ശ്രമം എല്ലാവരുടെയും ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ വരേണ്ടതാണെന്ന്‌ പാത്രിയാര്‍ക്കീസ്‌ ബാവ പറഞ്ഞു. തര്‍ക്കം പരിഹരിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുമെന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷ ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ടാണ്‌ ഡമാസ്‌കസില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ താന്‍ ഇവിടെ വന്നത്‌. ജനങ്ങള്‍ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്‌ സമാധാനമാണെന്ന്‌ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കറിയാം. അതുകൊണ്ട്‌ സമാധാനത്തിനുവേണ്ടി സാധ്യമായതെല്ലാം ചെയ്യുമെന്ന്‌ പാത്രിയാര്‍ക്കീസ്‌ ബാവ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിക്ക്‌ ഉറപ്പുനല്‍കി.

Patriarch is not the spiritual leader of both the factions. H.H. Patriarch Karim who is currently visiting Kerala is not consecrated according to the canon and order agreed by his predecessors, subsequently ascertained by Supreme Court of India. Therefore, he has no right to dictate or interfere in the matters of Malankara Church. Neither he is considered as the spiritual father of both factions (There is no two factions, Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church is the only officiating church). India’s Supreme court vehemently attested that the so called “Jacobite faction’ is illegitimate and un ethical. Malankara Church can only adhere to the Patriarch who is elevated to the order and approved by the Malankara Association. Since the official Malankara church have no canonical connections with this HH Karim, we have nothing to do with him or he have no business in Malankara. He can be considered as friend of a sister church.
