The story of a poor lady in Kerala comes to mind. When her husband died many came and made long speeches about the man. She was amazed by all the praises from people she did not recognize. She told people around, “You do not know this dead person well”. She only knew what she went through in their marriage from this guy. I see many praising Vidhyadharan here for spitting out intolerance and hatred here. I felt he is the spokesperson of the special agenda propagandists in this comment column. His anonymous supporters write as if he is a ‘valiya sambhavam’. I found his writings highly biased as he starts with innocent comments or poem and in the middle of it he use it for propaganda. If you analyze his poems and comments, mostly it is against groups that he does not identify as his own- race, religion and political party. In a recent comment he asked people different from his party to go to Russia, as India does not need them, and India is great without them. It is the same intolerance that we see in BJP/RSS that we see in his words asking Muslims to go to Pakistan, Christians to America and Communists to Russia or China. Readers beware of such political, religious and racial propaganda! This group considers their Indian culture as the only acceptable culture in India, and others need to leave. Those who support him here are the same group using the column for propaganda.

നേരത്തേ പറഞ്ഞ ‘ഈമലയാളി കോമാളി അവാർഡി‘ന്റെ കാര്യം ഒരിക്കൽ കൂടി ഓർപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

If you really analyse his writings, you can understand that it is clashing with the teachings of Jesus whom he claims the son of god. If he follows Jesus, then he is supposed to love his enemies. Here Vidyadhran seems to be his enemy because he criticized another guy who always sell his product, in the name of Abraham and Isaac. In addition to that he always make sure that people see his wide 'phylacteries and the long tassels' on his garments (Matthew 23) Jesus taught his disciples to love the neighbors unconditionally irrespective of their color and creed. If Vidyadharan is intolerant, then as a follower of Jesus, Matthulla is supposed to show him that the right way is the way of tolerance. But, Matthulla cannot do it, because he is controlled by the very intolerance he is blaming on others. He cannot write any comment by not mentioning the name of BJP. I, understand his political woe but it doesn't go well with the teachings of Jesus. This is the reason Jesus called the Pharisees hypocrites and said, " Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to." I read Vidyadhran's writings in simple Malayalam which is powerful enough to provoke the fake and hypocrites and make their life miserable. Don't underestimate the readers and think you can dump your rotten theology and ideas on them. If a paper like E-Malayalee doesn't have people like Andrew or Vidyadhran, then the paper will be defeating it's purpose. And they have a platform to do it in America without fear and favor. Matthulla; If you are a true follower of Jesus then stop blaming any religion and 'let your light so shine before others so that they will see your good work and glorify the father in heaven." Unless and until people foster independent thinking, there fate will be like Matthull's

You will not see any trace of anger or hatred towards Vidhydharan in my comment. I attacked his ideas and not the person. Jesus said, “Love the sinner, and hate sin”. I do not consider Vidhyadharan as my enemy. In love there is discipline. We discipline our children because we love them. If Vidhyadharan’s ideas are followed it will only lead to carnage and destruction as it happened in Second World War. Hitler was influenced by some of the writers of the time with his Nazi ideology. BJP/RSS ideology is fascist as it is not inclusive of others. All the developments and progress we see in India is because we worked together for India. Our pledge was India is my country, and all Indians are my brothers and sisters. If we follow BJP/RSS ideology in India, and do not stand united, divided we will fall- India will fall into sixteen pieces. Bible says to earnestly rebuke your brother lest his sin fall on your head. Jesus criticized many in his ministry, and it was not because they were enemies. Nowadays you will not hear such messages from Church pulpit as only less than five percent of Bible verses are taken for preaching, and many churches are run like a business. The message you hear is the messages to run the church smoothly. You will never hear the verse I quoted from pulpit, as Church does not want any problem arising from it. Pulpit messages have turned Church into a group that has lost the ability to think critically and respond where appropriate. Most people keep quiet. I wish Vidhyadharan will use his talents to be inclusive and not for divisive purpose.

 

Someone mentioned here about my need for an award. I do not go after award or recognition. If recognition follows you, it is fine. You will not see me competing for a seat or time in a meeting or trying to bring my picture in group photographs. When I publish articles, I prefer not to have my picture there. Only because ‘emalayalee’ insisted on it, and will not publish without picture, I sent my picture. You will not see my picture in any of the books (five books) I published. Many a time awards are given based on political considerations. Let readers consider the contributions of each writer. The next day if the reader can’t remember a word or idea from your writing to apply in their life for constructive purpose, the writing is a waste of time and energy. Krishna advised Arjuna in Bhagavad Gita to follow ‘nishkamakarma’, which I try to follow (not that easy or practical).

സാഹിത്യകാരന്മാരെയും വിദ്യാധരൻ വെല്ലുവിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു .  അതിന് നിങ്ങൾ ഉത്തരം കൊടുത്തില്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്ത് സാഹിത്യം ? മനുഷ്യരും അവന്റെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളും ഇല്ലാത്ത സാഹിത്യം ആർക്കുവേണം 

It is possible to wake up a person sleeping but not a person acting so. I gave several reasons for the folly in Vidhyadharan’s thinking, and he acted as if he did not see it. There is not much hope for such people and they continue to mislead people not thinking critically. There is no hope for people not recognizing own mistakes and always criticize people and groups different from them.  Again he uses Jesus for his propaganda that Jesus said to throw the first stone if you have no sin. He forget the fact that the same Jesus said to find your own mistakes first before finding speck in others eyes. He criticizes priests selectively, and preaches that this world will be heaven without religion but ignores the fact that Jesus asked people to do as religious leaders say and not to do as they do. Corruption and abuse is in people’s heart. No religious or political group is exception to this. But consider it propaganda or out of ignorance when some continue to target one group.
