ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്ക്: ഇസ്രായേല്‍ രാഷ്ട്രത്തിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും അടുത്ത സുഹൃത്തായ നിക്കിഹേലിയുടെ അപ്രതീക്ഷിത രാജി ഇസ്രായേല്‍ രാഷ്ട്രത്തെ ഞെ്ട്ടിച്ചതായി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നെത്യന്‍യാഹു അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.
ഇസ്രായേല്‍, സൂപ്പര്‍ സ്റ്റാറെന്ന് അഭിമാനത്തോടെ വിളിക്കുന്ന ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വംശജയും, അമേരിക്കയുടെ യു.എന്‍. പ്രതിനിധിയുമായ നിക്കിഹേലി രാജ്യത്തിലെ ജനങ്ങളുടെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ അംഗീകാരം ലഭിച്ച അമേരിക്കന്‍ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരില്‍ ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്താണെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ തലസ്ഥാനം ടെല്‍ അവിവില്‍ നിന്നും ജെറുസലേമിലേക്കു മാറ്റുന്നതിന് യു.എന്‍. ജനറല്‍ അസംബ്ലിയില്‍ ശക്തമായ വാദമുഖങ്ങള്‍ നിരത്തിയ നിക്കിഹേലി ഇസ്രായേല്‍ രാഷ്ട്രത്തിന്റെ ചരിത്രത്തില്‍ പുതിയൊരു അദ്ധ്യായം എഴുതി ചേര്‍ക്കുന്നതില്‍ വിജയിച്ചതായും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
ഇസ്രായേല്‍ രാജ്യത്തിന് നീതിയും, അവകാശവും നേടിയെടുക്കുന്നതിന് അക്ഷീണം പ്രയത്‌നിച്ച നിക്കിഹേലിയെ ഞങ്ങള്‍ അഭിവാദ്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു. പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നിക്കിക്കയച്ച ഇമെയില്‍ സന്ദേശം ചൂണ്ടികാണിക്കുന്നു.
ഇസ്രായേല്‍ യു.എന്‍. അംബാസിഡര്‍ ഡാനി ഡാനനും നിക്കിയെ അഭിനന്ദിക്കുകയും, ഇസ്രായേലിലേക്ക് ക്ഷണിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

corruption scandal surrounding Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, took a new turn on Thursday when his wife Sara was charged with fraud and accused of illegally claiming £75,000 for gourmet meals.
While both Mr and Mrs Netanyahu have been subject to widespread allegations in recent years, the indictment filed on Thursday marks the first time either of them have actually been charged with a crime.
Israeli police recommended in February that Mr Netanyahu face charges for accepting £200,000 worth of bribes.
