കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ്: ചിവുക്കുളയ്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി ഫണ്ട് സമാഹരണം 20 നു

ന്യൂജേഴ്‌സി: ന്യൂജേഴ്‌സിയില്‍ നിന്ന് യുഎസ് കോണ്‍ഗ്രസിലേക്ക്
മത്സരിക്കുന്ന അസംബ്ലി ഡെപ്യൂട്ടി സ്പീക്കറും ഇന്ത്യന്‍
വംശജനുമായ ഉപേന്ദ്ര ജെ.ചിവുക്കുളയുടെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് പ്രചാരണം ഈ മാസം 20ന്
തുടങ്ങും. ന്യൂജേഴ്‌സിയിലെ ഫോര്‍ഡ്‌സിലുള്ള
റോയല്‍ ആല്‍ബര്‍ട്ട് പാലസില്‍ 20ന്
വൈകിട്ട് നാലിന് നടക്കുന്ന ധനശേഖരണ പരിപാടിയോടെയാണ് പ്രചാരണ
പരിപാടികള്‍ക്ക് തുടക്കമാവുന്നത്. ന്യൂജേഴ്‌സിയിലെ ഏഴാമത് കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ്
ഡിസ്ട്രിക്ടില്‍ നിന്നാണ് ഉപേന്ദ്ര ജെ.ചിവുക്കുള മത്സരിക്കുന്നത്. രണ്ടുതവണ
ഇവിടെ നിന്ന് ജയിച്ച ലിയോനാര്‍ഡ് ലാന്‍സ് ആണ് ചിവുക്കുളയുടെ എതിരാളി.
ചിവുക്കുള ന്യൂജേഴ്‌സി ജനറല്‍ അംസബ്ലിയില്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞ 10 വര്‍ഷമായി അംഗമാണ്. 2000-2001 കാലയളവില്‍ ഫ്രാങ്ക്‌ളിന്‍ മേയറായും 1998-99 കാലയളവില്‍ ഡെപ്യൂട്ടി മേയറായും സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ചിവുക്കുള 1997 മുതല്‍ സോമര്‍സെറ്റ് കൗണ്ടിയിലെ ഫ്രാങ്ക്‌ളിന്‍ ടൗണ്‍ഷിപ്പില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള കൗണ്‍സില്‍ അംഗമായിരുന്നു. ന്യൂജേഴ്‌സി അസംബ്ലിയിലെ ഏക ഇന്ത്യന്‍ അമേരിക്കക്കാരന്‍ കൂടിയാണ് ഇലക്ട്രിക്കല്‍ എഞ്ചിനീയര്‍ കൂടിയായ ചിവുക്കുള.
ചിവുക്കുള ന്യൂജേഴ്‌സി ജനറല്‍ അംസബ്ലിയില്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞ 10 വര്‍ഷമായി അംഗമാണ്. 2000-2001 കാലയളവില്‍ ഫ്രാങ്ക്‌ളിന്‍ മേയറായും 1998-99 കാലയളവില്‍ ഡെപ്യൂട്ടി മേയറായും സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ചിവുക്കുള 1997 മുതല്‍ സോമര്‍സെറ്റ് കൗണ്ടിയിലെ ഫ്രാങ്ക്‌ളിന്‍ ടൗണ്‍ഷിപ്പില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള കൗണ്‍സില്‍ അംഗമായിരുന്നു. ന്യൂജേഴ്‌സി അസംബ്ലിയിലെ ഏക ഇന്ത്യന്‍ അമേരിക്കക്കാരന്‍ കൂടിയാണ് ഇലക്ട്രിക്കല്‍ എഞ്ചിനീയര്‍ കൂടിയായ ചിവുക്കുള.
Assemblyman Chivukula has been our community's only 'Friend in deed' to resolve our issues
with the main stream agencies whether it is with the local
governments/State or Federal govt. Now we all should feel proud of him
and
help him individually and collectively to be our only representative in the US Congress.
His
excellent track record and outstanding relationship with main stream
politicians as well as the general public will stand in good stead for
him to become the first Indian immigrant in the North East to become a
Congressman.
Let
us join his campaign irrespective of our political affiliation to put
our close friend in US Congress. Any amount of financial support
[maximum $2,500 by law] by writing individual check to 'Chivukula for Congress' will be our demonstration that we support him.

campaign Kick off is on May 20th Sunday at 5 PM at Royal Alberts Hotel,
