മനുഷ്യന്‍ ആരാണെന്ന് സ്വയം തിരിച്ചറിയുവാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കണം

കരോള്‍ട്ടണ്‍ (ടെക്‌സസ്): ആധുനിക ലോകം ഇന്ന് അഭിമുഖീകരിക്കുന്ന ഏറ്റവും സങ്കീര്‍ണമായ പ്രശ്‌നം മനുഷ്യര്‍ ആരാണെന്ന് സ്വയം തിരിച്ചറിയാതിരിക്കുന്നതും, ജീവിത ലക്ഷ്യത്തെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള അവക്യക്തതയുമാണെന്ന് സുപ്രസിദ്ധ കണ്‍വന്‍ഷന്‍ പ്രാസംഗീകനും, വേദപണ്ഢിതനുമായ റവ. അലക്‌സാണ്ടര്‍ വര്‍ഗീസ് പറഞ്ഞു.
യഥാര്‍ത്ഥ ആരാധനയില്‍ നിന്നും ബഹുദൂരം പുറകോട്ടു പോയിരിക്കുന്ന വിശ്വാസ സമൂഹത്തില്‍ ഒരു തിരിച്ചുവരവ് ആവശ്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു. ആരാധനാലയങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ജനങ്ങള്‍ കടന്നുവരുന്നത് ആരാധന നിരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനും, വിലയിരുത്തുന്നതിനുമാണ്. ഇത് ദൈവീകാനുഗ്രഹത്തിന് വിഘാതം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നു.
ദൈവീകാനുഭവത്തില്‍ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്കു മാത്രമേ ദൈവാംശം ആസ്വദിക്കുവാന്‍ കഴിയുക. വിശ്വാസ നൗക തിരമാലകളില്‍ ആടിയുലയാതെ മുന്നോട്ട് കുതിക്കണമെങ്കില്‍ അമരത്ത് ദൈവത്തിന് സ്ഥാനം നല്‍കിയരിക്കണം. ക്രൈസ്തവരില്‍ അദൈവങ്ങളേയും, അന്യദൈവങ്ങളേയും ആരാധിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള പ്രവണത വര്‍ദ്ധിച്ചു വുന്നു. ജഡമോഹം, കണ്‍മോഹം, ജീവന്റെ പ്രതാപം ഇവയൊക്കെ മനുഷ്യനെ ദൈവത്തില്‍ നിന്നും അകറ്റി കളയുന്നു. കരുണാമയനും, നീതിമാനുമാനും, നിര്‍മ്മലനുമായ ദൈവത്തെ അനുകരിക്കുന്നവര്‍ ഈ സ്വഭാവ ശ്രേഷ്ഠതകള്‍ ജീവിതത്തില്‍ പ്രതിഫലിപ്പിക്കണം. അച്ചന്‍ തന്റെ പ്രസംഗം ഉപസംഹരിച്ചു.
കരോള്‍ട്ടണ്‍ മാര്‍ത്തോമാ ചര്‍ച്ച വാര്‍ഷീക കണ്‍വന്‍ഷനില്‍ ഇന്ന് പ്രാരംഭ പ്രസംഗം നടത്തുകയായിരുന്നു അച്ചന്‍. ഒക്‌ടോബര്‍ 12 ശനിയാഴ്ച വൈകീട്ടും, ഞായരാഴ്ച വിശുദ്ധ കുര്‍ബ്ബാനയ്ക്കു ശേഷം കടശ്ശിയോഗവും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും. ഗായകസംഘത്തെ ഗാനശുശ്രൂഷയോടെയാണ് യോഗം ആരംഭിച്ചത്.
ഇടവക വികാരി സാം മാത്യൂ സ്വാഗതം ആശംസിച്ചു. റവ. ജോസഫ് മാത്യൂ, റവ. ജോബി ജോര്‍ജ്ജ് തുടങ്ങിയവരും പ്രസംഗിച്ചു. പൊന്നച്ചന്‍ മദ്ധ്യസ്ഥ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കി.

Life is a pilgrimage. If it is not; make it a pilgrimage. Every step you must go forward. Make your load lighter and lighter. Throw away the unwanted. Lighten your load. Then slowly start throwing away things you think you need, then you will become enlightened. Do not try to rest and hang around the house of god on the path. These are obstacles made by lazy and selfish. They do not want to go forward or discard their belongings. They deceive others and make them believe the fortress they made is the final destiny. But you are fooled. They are sacrificing you to justify their laziness and greed. The greedy and lazy will never go forward and leave their possessions. They become living Mummies. So get up and walk forward far and further from them.
Life must be like walking through an open meadow. There you could see creatures of all kinds large and small. The wind flows free through the meadow. The wind brings to you fragrance from far and beyond. Wind brings to you the melody of cosmic flute. So empty yourself to enjoy and to be a part of the nature.
Empty all your knowledge, all the philosophy all the dogmas of your religion. You may think it is not easy. But it is indeed. Remember the good old childhood days. You took your clothes off and ran naked. It was ecstasy. Then you jumped on those clothes. It was bliss. [Thomayude suvisesham- {Gospel of Thomas} page –14,verse-37] This is what you get if you can get rid of the unnecessary burdens you carry every day. It is pure bliss. The bliss of emptiness.
Knowledge, possessions, beliefs all are slavery. The more you acquire the more you are surrounded and that becomes your jail. Now you have no room to move. No light to see. No air to breathe. So throw them all. Be in the middle of the meadow. And melt into the rhythm of nature. Like a dancer while dancing. You cannot separate the dancer from the dance. When you separate the dancer, he is not dancing and there is no dance.
Rejoice and dance in trance. Slowly you will be dancing in rhythm with the cosmic dance. Remember the dance and dancer are one. That is the goal, the final destiny of your pilgrimage. You are not resting there. You are dancing with the eternal dance.
Celebrate each and every moment of the present. You do not know what the morrow is or what the morrow brings- if there is one.
