ലോക സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിന്റെ വ്യക്താക്കളാണ്‌ അമേരിക്കയെന്നാണ്‌ എല്ലാവരുടെയും വെയ്‌പ്പ്‌. അവര്‍ ചെയ്‌ത നല്ല കാര്യങ്ങളെ ഒന്നും വിസ്‌മരിക്കുകയല്ല ഉദ്ദേശം. പക്ഷെ ചില ഇരട്ടത്താപ്പ്‌ നയങ്ങള്‍ നാം മനസ്സിലാക്കിയേപറ്റു. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ അഭിമാനത്തെ തന്നെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യുന്ന രീതിയില്‍ അമേരിക്കന്‍ ഭരണകൂടം പെരുമാറിയിട്ടും എന്താണ്‌ പലരും നിശബ്ദത പാലിക്കുന്നത്‌ എന്നുള്ള കാര്യം ചിന്തിക്കേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അവസാനം എല്ലാം ശുഭമായി കലാശിക്കുമെന്ന്‌ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാം. അതോടൊപ്പം ഇതുവരെ നടന്ന കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ഒന്ന്‌ തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കാം.
1. നവംബര്‍ 2012 സംഗീത അമേരിക്കയില്‍ ദേവയാനിയുടെ വീട്ടു വേലക്കാരിയായി വരുന്നു.
2. ജൂണ്‍ 2013 സംഗീത ജോലി മാറാന്‍ സമ്മതിക്കണം എന്ന്‌ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.
3. മേല്‍പ്പറഞ്ഞ ആവശ്യം നിരാകരിച്ചു, കാരണം സംഗീത വന്നത്‌ ഇന്ധ്യയുടെ നയതന്ത്ര പാസ്‌പോര്‍ട്ട്‌ ഉപയോഗിച്ചായിരുന്നു. തന്നെയുമല്ല ഫെഡറല്‍ നിയമപ്രകാരം ഒരു നോണ്‍ ഇമിഗ്രന്റ്‌റ്‌ വിസായില്‍ വരുന്ന ആള്‍ക്ക്‌ വിസാ മാറ്റുവാന്‍ അവകാശമില്ല. അവര്‍ അന്യായമായി ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നത്‌ നിയമ വിരുദ്ധമാണ്‌ ഇതിനു കൂട്ട്‌ നില്‍ക്കുന്ന തൊഴില്‍ ദാതാവിനെ ശിക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ ഇത്‌ കാരണമാകും. തൊഴില്‍ ദാതാവിന്‌ ഇങ്ങനെ മുന്‍കൂട്ടി അറിവുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ അത്‌ അധികാരികളെ അറിയിക്കണമെന്നതാണ്‌ അമേരിക്കാന്‍ നിയമം.
4. സംഗീതയ്‌ക്ക്‌ ജോലി ഇഷ്ടമില്ലെങ്കില്‍, വേറെ ജോലി മാറണമെങ്കില്‍ ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ പോയി പുതിയ അപേക്ഷ സമര്‍പ്പിക്കാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. എന്നാല്‍ സംഗീത നാട്ടില്‍ പോകുവാന്‍ കൂട്ടാക്കിയില്ല.

7. ഡോ. ദേവയാനി ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്ക്‌ പോലീസിലും പരാതിപ്പെടാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചു, പക്ഷെ സംഗീതയുടെ ബന്ധു അല്ലാതിരുന്നതിനാല്‍ അത്‌ ചെയ്‌തില്ലെന്നാണ്‌ വാര്‍ത്തകളില്‍ കൂടെ അറിയുവാന്‍ സാധിച്ചത്‌.
8. June 25, 2013- Dr ദേവയാനി ന്യൂ യോര്‍ക്ക്‌ പോലീസിലും പരാതി കൊടുത്തു, പക്ഷെ ഇതിനെപ്പറ്റി അവര്‍ അന്വേഷിച്ചില്ല. ഒരു ഇന്ത്യക്കാരനെ കാണുന്നില്ല എന്ന്‌ പറഞ്ഞ പരാതി സ്വീകരിക്കാത്ത പോലീസിന്‌ ഇതില്‍ പങ്കുണ്ടെന്നുള്ള തെളിവല്ലേ ഇത്‌?
9. July 1,2013 Dr. ദേവയാനിക്ക്‌ അജ്ഞാത ഫോണ്‍ ചെയ്‌തു പറഞ്ഞു. അവരുടെ കക്ഷിക്ക്‌ നഷ്ട പരിഹാരം കൊടുത്തില്ലെങ്കില്‍ നിയമ നടപടികള്‍ സ്വീകരിക്കുമെന്ന്‌.
10. July 2, 2013 - Dr. ദേവയാനി ഡല്‍ഹി പോലീസില്‍ പരാതി കൊടുത്തു, ഇന്ത്യയിലെ അമേരിക്കന്‍ സ്ഥാനപതി കാര്യാലയത്തെ അറിയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്‌തു. ഇതിനും ഒരു മറുപടിയും അമേരിക്കന്‍ സ്ഥാനപതികാര്യാലയത്തില്‍ നിന്നും ലഭിച്ചില്ല
11. July 5,2013 Dr. ദേവയാനി സംഗീതയ്‌ക്ക്‌ എതിരായി തെളിവുകള്‍ സഹിതം ന്യൂ യോര്‍ക്ക്‌ പോലീസില്‍ പരാതി നല്‌കി. ഇതിനും ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്ക്‌ പോലീസ്‌ ഒരു ആക്ഷനും എടുത്തില്ല.
12. July 5, 2013 ഡല്‍ഹി പോലീസ്‌ ഒരു പ്രഥമ വിവര റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്‌ തയ്യാറാക്കി അമേരിക്കയിലേക്ക്‌ നിയമാനുസൃതമല്ലാതെ സംഗീതയും കുടുംബവും കുടിയേറാന്‍ തയാറാകുന്നുവെന്ന്‌ അമേരിക്കാന്‍ അധികൃതരെ അറിയിച്ചു.
13. July 5, 2013 ഇന്ത്യയുടെ വിദേശ മന്ത്രാലയം ഇന്ത്യയിലെ അമേരിക്കന്‍ എംബസ്സിയെ ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്ക്‌ പോലീസ്‌ കാണിക്കുന്ന ഉദാസീനത കാണിച്ചു തങ്ങളുടെ ശക്തമായ പ്രതിഷേധം അറിയിച്ചു. അതോടൊപ്പംസംഗീതയെ കണ്ടെത്താന്‍ സഹായിക്കണമെന്നും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.
14. July 5, 2013 അമേരക്കയിലെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സ്ഥാനപതി കാര്യാലയം ഈ വിഷയം അന്വേഷിക്കണമെന്ന്‌ കാണിച്ച്‌ അമേരിക്കന്‍ സ്‌റ്റേറ്റ്‌ ഡിപ്പാര്‍ട്ട്‌മെന്റിനെ സമീപിച്ചു അഭ്യര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു.
15. July 8,2013 ഇന്ത്യ സംഗീതയുടെ പാസ്‌പോര്‍ട്ട്‌ മരവിപ്പിച്ചു മറ്റ്‌ തിരിച്ചറിയല്‍ കാര്‍ഡുകളും മരവിപ്പിച്ചു.
16. July 8,2013 സംഗീത ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്കിലെ ഒരു അറ്റോര്‍ണി ഓഫീസില്‍ പ്രക്ത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. $10,000 നഷ്ട പരിഹാരവും പിന്നെ വിസാ മാറാനുള്ള സമ്മതവും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. (ഇത്‌ ഒരിക്കലും സാധ്യമല്ല എന്നറിയാവുന്ന പ്രൊസികുട്ടെര്‍ ആണ്‌ ഇതിന്‌ പിന്നില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചതെന്നുള്ളതാണ്‌ പരസ്യമായ രഹസ്യം)

September 4, 2013 അമേരിക്കയിലെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ എംബസ്സിക്ക്‌ സ്‌റ്റേറ്റ്‌ ഡിപ്പാര്‍ട്ട്‌മെന്റ്‌ സംഗീതയുടെ ഒരു പരാതി കിട്ടിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും അതില്‍ അന്വേഷണം നടത്തണമെന്നും കാണിച്ച്‌ ഒരു ലെറ്റര്‍ അയച്ചു. അത്‌ വെറും ഒരു ഒഴുക്കന്‍ മട്ടില്‍ എഴുതുതിയതും എന്നാല്‍ ഇന്ത്യ സംഗീതയുടെ തിരോധാനത്തെപ്പറ്റി കൊടുത്തിരുന്ന ആക്ഷേപത്തെ പറ്റിയും പരാമര്‍ശിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല എന്നാല്‍ ദേവയാനിയെ കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്‌തിരുന്നു.
18. September 20,2013 ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഡല്‍ഹി ഹൈകോടതി സംഗീതക്കും കുടുംബത്തിനും എതിരായി ഒരു ഉത്തരവ്‌ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു, അതിന്‌ പ്രകാരം സംഗീതയോ കുടുംബമോ ഈ കേസ്‌ സംബന്ധിച്ച്‌ ഒരുനടപടിയും എടുക്കരുതെന്ന്‌ വിലക്കിയിരുന്നു.
19. November 19, 2013 ഡല്‍ഹി മെട്രോപോളിറ്റന്‍ ജഡ്‌ജ്‌ സംഗീതക്കെതിരായി അറസ്റ്റ്‌ വാറണ്ട്‌ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു.
20. December 6, 2013 അമേരിക്കയിലെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ എംബസ്സി അമേരിക്കാന്‍ സ്‌റ്റേറ്റ്‌ ഡിപ്പാര്‍ട്ട്‌മെന്റിനെ സംഗീതയുടെ അറസ്റ്റ്‌ വാറന്റിന്റെ കാര്യം അറിയിക്കുകയും അവരെ പിടികൂടി നാട്ടില്‍ എത്തിക്കാന്‍ സഹായിക്കണമെന്നും അഭ്യര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു. കാരണം സംഗീത വന്നത്‌ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ നയതന്ത്ര വിസയില്‍ ആയതിനാല്‍ ഇന്ത്യുടെ നിയമങ്ങളാണ്‌ ബാധകമാകുക.
21. December 10, 2013 അമേരിക്ക ഇന്ത്യയുടെ അനുവാദമില്ലാതെ, ഒരു ഇന്ത്യാക്കാരന്‌ രഹസ്യമായി അമേരിക്കന്‍ പാസ്‌പോര്‍ട്ട്‌ കൊടുത്ത്‌ അമേരിക്കയിലേക്ക്‌ കൊണ്ടു പോയി. എന്തായാലെന്താ, സംഗീതക്കും കുടുംബത്തിനും അമേരിക്കാന്‍ വിസ കിട്ടി. ഇനി സംഗീതയുടെയും അവരുടെ ഭര്‍ത്താവിന്റെയും മാതാപിതാക്കള്‍ക്ക്‌ വിസ, പിന്നെ അവരുടെ അടുത്ത രക്ത ബന്ധുക്കള്‍ക്ക്‌ താമസിയാതെ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഒരു ഗ്രാമം മുഴുവനും ഈ പേരില്‍ അമേരിക്കയിലേക്ക്‌ കുടിയേറും. ഇത്തരം ആളുകള്‍ അമേരിക്കന്‍ നികുതി ദായകരെ കൊള്ളയടിക്കുകയാണെന്ന്‌ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍.

The original writer of this article just sees only one side. By listing the dates, what is he trying to say? He is contradicting himself and do not make any sense. He just stands for the rich and powerful. He is not able to see the injustice done to Sangeetha (Home Servant) and family. Sangeetha also is a human, eligible for basic rights. Diplomatic immunity for Devayani is not a license to commit crime against basic human beings. The writer is trying to justify the diplomat by senseless way. There is no logic at all for the arguments expressed in the article. We live in USA, avail all the facility and law. For every action of US justice system we cannot blame. This case USA is on the right side. Let the law take its course. This incident happened in USA. So let the law of the land (USA law) takes its course. This is just common sense and a child can understand. Then why this hue and cry and using to show extraordinary Indian patriotism to our mother land India. Really this is not patriotism to India. This is just like standing the wrong side. We have to show patriotism to our adopted land USA also. Here our children are born and most of us are going to live and die here. Also, this case the real logic and justice rest with the law enforcement officials of USA. Further let us study, do not be prejudiced or jump in to conclusion. Do not always support the rich, powerful and influential people. Support the poor and weak also some times at least this Xmas time.
