ഖോബ്രഗഡേയ്‌ക്ക്‌ അറസ്റ്റ്‌ ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്ന സമയത്ത്‌ സമ്പൂര്‍ണ നയതന്ത്ര
പരിരക്ഷയുണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെന്ന വെളിപ്പെടുത്തല്‍ പരിശോധിച്ചു വരികയാണെന്ന്‌ അമേരിക്ക
വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്രസഭയുടെ പൊതുസഭ കൂടുന്ന സമയമായതുകൊണ്ട്‌ ദേവയാനിയെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ പ്രതിനിധിസംഘത്തിലുള്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഓഗസ്റ്റ്‌ 26 മുതല്‍ ഡിസംബര്‍ 31 വരെയാണ്‌. അതായത്‌ ഡിസംബര്‍ 12 ന്‌ അറസ്റ്റ്‌ ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ പൂര്‍ണ പരിരക്ഷയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു വ്യക്തം.
പക്ഷേ ഏറ്റവും ദുരൂഹമായ കാര്യം രണ്ടാഴ്‌ച കഴിഞ്ഞാണ്‌ ഈ വിവരം പുറത്തുവരുന്നതെന്നാണ്‌. പരരക്ഷയുണ്ടെന്ന കാര്യം അമേരിക്കയോ ഇന്ത്യയോ ഇതുവരെ പറഞ്ഞില്ല. ദേവയാനി പോലും ഇക്കാര്യം അധികൃതരെ അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കാനിടയില്ലെന്ന്‌ നയതന്ത്ര വൃത്തങ്ങള്‍ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കുന്നു.
പൂര്‍ണ നയതന്ത്ര പരിരക്ഷയുള്ള ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥയുടെ ബാഗേജ്‌ പരിശോധിക്കുന്നതിനുപോലും വിലക്കുണ്ട്‌. അറസ്‌റ്റോ തടഞ്ഞുവയ്‌ക്കലോ ഒരു തരത്തിലും അനുവദനീയമല്ല.
യു.എന്‍ സംഘത്തിലെ പ്രതിനിധികള്‍, ഉപപ്രതിനിധികള്‍, ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കള്‍, സാങ്കേതിക വിദഗ്‌ദ്ധര്‍, സംഘത്തിന്റെ സെക്രട്ടറിമാര്‍ എന്നിവര്‍ക്കാണ്‌ നയതന്ത്ര പരിരക്ഷയുള്ളത്‌.
