നിരവധി കാലം സംഘടനയുടെ എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് മെമ്പറുമായിരുന്നു.

Mr. Cherian Philip
was born on April 10, 1939 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Philipose Idicheria and
Annamma Philipose (Itty), Nirappuvila Puthen Veedu, Mulavana, Kundara, Kerala,
India and passed away on March 11, 2014.
After graduating from M.G.D.
High School, Kundara he attended pre-university at Fatima Mata National College,
Kollam. He joined the Indian Army (EME) and achieved the rank of master sergeant
before retiring to civilian life in 1976.
He was married to Mary Mathew
(daughter of Paily Mathai, Naduvathu House, Kottapady, Kothamangalam, Kerala,
India) for 47 years.
He immigrated to the United States in 1977 and
worked over the subsequent years at Keebler Corporation, Cardone Industries and
FBF Industries. Later in the early 1990s, he became a small business owner of an
Indian variety store.
He was a member of the Philadelphia Marthoma Church
and later the Ascension Mar Thoma Church, Philadelphia, where he served in
various positions. He was also an active member of Kerala Arts and Literary
Association of America since its founding and served many years on the executive
committee.
He is survived by his wife Mary, his children, Stanley, Selin
and Sharon, daughter-in-law Emma, son-in-law Bruce, grandchildren Tristyn, Rohan
and Jayan, by his brothers, Daniel, Varghese, John, and Thomas, his sisters,
Leelamma and Gracy and by his brothers-in-law, Kochummen Kochummen, John Thomas,
his sisters-in-law, Chinnamma Daniel, Raichel Varghese, Mariakutty John, Bosamma
Thomas, his nephews, nieces and many other loving family members.
He was
a devoted husband, father, brother and friend. We will deeply miss his love,
commitment, devotion and support. We are all truly blessed to have known such an
amazing, good-hearted man and rejoice in knowing he has found peace with our
Father in Heaven.
