Mumbai : Sheela Padmanabhan is a well known artist in the field of painting and drawing. She attends lots of art exhibitions in and around Mumbai the city where she lives right now. She is so happy to present an upcoming solo show of her paintings at Gallerie Leela, Leela Kempinski, Near Sahar Airport, Andheri East Mumbai Starting from 10th June to 16th June 2011. Daily between 12.00 P.M and 9.00 P.M.
 Here is a small description about Sheela Padmanabhan and her paintings for those who are not yet familiar with this accomplished artist. She is originally from Kerala. Her parents are Mr.M.G.Nambiar and Mrs.T.C.Bhargavi Amma. Sheela is married to Mr.A.V.Padmanabhan. This couple has only one son who is studying in NIT for Mechanical Engineering.

Drawing was sheela’s passion since childhood. But she didn’t get support or encouragement from her father. He was a loving father and his concern was to Make his children something great in the ladder of success. So he even scolded sheela whenever he saw her drawing faces in her note books. He insisted the children to study well and don’t waste time for unnecessary hobbies. So she had to do all the artworks secretly during her preliminary school years.

After marriage everything changed. Her husband Mr. Padmanabhan is a good art lover and he was happy to see her painting and drawing pictures. He is the one made sheela a successful artist. Padmanabhan encouraged Sheela to attend painting and drawing classes and improve her skills. Padmanabhan is senior manager in a nationalized Bank in India. So every three years they get transfer and have to move to different parts of India. Where ever they went Sheela took some art classes from there. She already took some classes in the art of Tanjore from Tamilnadu, Oil painting from Kalabhavan ( Cochin, Kerala ), Engraving and Embossing from Bhopal and looking forward to take more classes in different fields of paintings.

 Sheela Padmanabhan is grateful to her husband, son, friends and their families for encouraging and making her a renowned painting and drawing artist. She also want to thank her teacher Mr. Ravichandran who insisted her to attend the painting exhibitions and share her talents to the world. Her first solo show was held in Naval Base in Cochin. Now she is in Mumabai with her husband. She wants to invite you all to visit her solo show in Gallerie Leela in Bomabay.
