The conference was organised by a committee consisting of Dr. Sandeep Mathew, Dr. Paul Peter, Linz Aynattu, Dr. Sen Kallumpuram, Sunil Philip, Reji Kottarakara and Jinoj Philip under the chairmanship of Fr Happy Jacob. The Director of Music and programmes was Dr. Thomas Jacob (Remmy).

 Over 300 delegates attended the conference. They consisted of 3 generations of family members -  grandparents, parents and children. 

Rev. Father Abraham Thomas, registrar of the Orthodox Seminary, Kottayam was the main speaker. He spoke about the doctrine, Trinity, church as the foundation, communion and sacraments. The main theme of the conference was ‘A Wise Man Builds his House on Rock’.

His Grace Mathews Mar Timothios described the rapid progress of the Orthodox Community and the importance of Family Conference to bring all our people to share our faith, happiness, sorrows and to enhance their spiritual life.

Rev. Father Varghese John and Rev. Father George Samuel gave felicitation speeches. Dr. M.S Alexander described the expansion of the Orthodox Community from 14 families in 1972 to over 1,500 families in UK at present. He also expressed his belief that a wise man builds his life on the solid rock of Orthodox faith handed over to us by St.Thomas, the Apostle of India.

 There was a very entertaining magic show to conclude the program.
