കലിഫോണിയയിൽ എട്ടു മാസം പ്രായമുള്ള കുട്ടി ഉൾപ്പെടെ ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ അമേരിക്കൻ കുടുംബത്തിലെ നാലു പേരെ തട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോയി. ജസ്പ്രീത് സിംഗ് (36), ഭാര്യ ജസ്‌ലീൻ കൗർ (27), അവരുടെ പെൺകുട്ടി അറൂഹി ധേരി, ബന്ധുവായ അമൻദീപ് സിംഗ് (39) എന്നിവരെ കുറിച്ച് ഒരു വിവരവും ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്നു ഇക്കാര്യം അറിയിച്ച മെർസെഡ്‌ കൗണ്ടി ഷരീഫിന്റെ ഓഫീസ് പറഞ്ഞു.  

ഇവരെ തട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോയ ആൾ  ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ല. "സ്ഥിരം കുറ്റവാളിയാണ്, തല മൊട്ടയടിച്ച അൽപം വെളുത്ത ആളാണ്. സായുധനും അപകടകാരിയുമാണ്."

അയാളുടെ ചിത്രം ഫേസ്ബുക്കിലും ട്വിറ്ററിലും ഇട്ടുവെങ്കിലും ഹൂഡിയും മാസ്കും ധരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളതു കൊണ്ട് തിരിച്ചറിയാൻ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടാണ്. 

സൗത്ത് ഹൈവേ 59 ൽ 800 ബ്ളോക്കിലെ ബിസിനസ് സ്ഥാപനത്തിൽ നിന്നാണ് കുടുംബത്തെ തട്ടിയെടുത്തത്. ബന്ധുവിനെ സെൻട്രൽ വാലിയിൽ നിന്നും.

പൊലീസ് ജനങ്ങളുടെ സഹായം അഭ്യർത്ഥിച്ചു. "ഈ കുടുംബത്തെ നമുക്ക് രക്ഷിച്ചേ തീരൂ," ഷരീഫ് വേണ് വാങ്കെ പറഞ്ഞു. 

Four of Indian American family abducted in California 

New Delhi, Oct 4 (IANS) An India-origin couple, their adult relative and an eight-month-old child were kidnapped from Merced County in California, US, authorities said.

Merced County Sheriff's Office on Monday, said in a statement that 36-year-old Jasdeep Singh, 27-year-old Jasleen Kaur, their eight-month-old child and relative 39-year-old Amandeep Singh were taken "against their will from a business."

They have asked for public's help in locating the four missing persons.

"He (the suspect) is described as a light-complected male with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a hoodie. We consider the suspect to be armed and dangerous," it added.

Merced County Sheriff's Office also shared a photograph of the suspect on its Facebook and Twitter handle.
