വൈദികനെതിരെ പ്രതിഷേധം; വൈദികനു പൂര്‍ണ പിന്തുണയെന്നു മാര്‍ അങ്ങാടിയത്ത്
സ്‌ടോണി പോയിന്റിലെ മരിയന്‍ ഷ്രൈനിലുള്ള ചാപ്പലില്‍ റോക്ക് ലാന്‍ഡ് ക്നാനായ മിഷന്‍ ഡയറക്ടര്‍ ഫാ. ജോസഫ് ആദോപ്പള്ളില്‍ വി. കുര്‍ബാന അര്‍പ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കെയാണു പുറത്ത് സ്ത്രീകളും കുട്ടികളുമടക്കം ഇരുനൂറോളം പേര്‍ പ്ലാക്കാര്‍ഡുകളുമായി ഇന്നലെ പ്രതിഷേധ റാലി നടത്തിയത്. പോലീസ് സജീവമായി രംഗത്തുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ദ്രുശ്യമാധ്യമങ്ങളും പ്രതിഷേധം ചിത്രീകരിച്ചു.
'സ്റ്റോപ്പ് ഫാ. ജോസഫ്‌സ് ഡിക്ടേറ്റര്‍ഷിപ്പ്, ഡീപൊര്‍ട്ട് ഫാ. ജോസഫ്, വീ ഷാല്‍ ഓവര്‍കം, പ്ലീസ് ചേയ്ഞ്ച്, വീ ആര്‍ പ്രേയിംഗ് ഫോര്‍ യൂ, ഹു ഈസ് നെക്സ്റ്റ് ? ഔര്‍ കിഡ്‌സ്, തുടങ്ങിയ പ്ലാക്കാര്‍ഡുകളും കുരിശുകളും വഹിച്ചായിരുന്നു റാലി.
രണ്ടു മാസം മുന്‍പാണു ഫാ. ആദോപ്പള്ളില്‍ ചാര്‍ജെടൂത്തത്. ബേബി ഊരാളില്‍ ക്നാനായ കത്തോലിക്കാ കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് ഓഫ് നോര്‍ത്ത് അമേരിക്ക പ്രസിഡന്റായിരിക്കെ വാങ്ങിയ ക്നാനായ കമ്മ്യുണിറ്റി സെന്ററിലാണു ആഴ്ചയിലൊരിക്കല്‍ കുര്‍ബാന 14 വര്‍ഷമായി നടന്നിരുന്നത്. മറ്റവസരങ്ങളില്‍ സെന്റര്‍ മറ്റ് സാമൂഹിക പരിപാടികള്‍ക്കു വാടകക്കും നല്‍കും.
ക്നാനായ സമുദായ താല്പര്യം അവഗണിച്ച് സീറോ മലബാര് രൂപതയുടെ താല്പര്യം സംരക്ഷിക്കുവാനാണു ഫാ. ആദൊപ്പള്ളില്‍ മുതിര്‍ന്നതെന്നും അതാണു ജനങ്ങളെ പ്രകോപ്പിച്ചതെന്നും ഒരു വിഭാഗം പറയുന്നു. എന്തായാലും വൈദികനെതിരെ രൂക്ഷമായ അഭിപ്രായ പ്രകടനങ്ങള്‍ ഈമെയിലിലും ബ്ലൊഗിലുമൊക്കെ വന്നു.
മൂന്നാഴ്ച മുന്‍പ് കുര്‍ബാന മറ്റൊരു സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മാറ്റുന്നതായി ഈമെയില്‍ വഴി ഫാ. ആദോപ്പള്ളില്‍ അറിയിച്ചു. കുര്‍ബാന നടത്താന്‍ പോലും പറ്റാത്ത അവസ്ഥ വന്നതു കൊണ്ടാണിതെന്നു അദ്ധേഹവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. നിവ്രുത്തി ഇല്ലാതെ വന്നാല്‍ എന്തു ചെയ്യുമെന്നവര്‍ ചോദിച്ചു.
ഏതാനും കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങള്‍ വൈദികനെ അനുകൂലിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ മഹാ ഭൂരിപക്ഷം പ്രതിഷേധവുമായെത്തി.
ഒന്നര മില്യനോളം ചെലവിട്ടതാണു കമ്യൂണിറ്റി സെന്ററിനും അതോടനുബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള സ്ഥലത്തിനുമെന്നു സമുദായാംഗങ്ങള്‍ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. ഇത്രയും കാലം കുര്‍ബാന നടന്നതും വേദപാഠം പഠിപ്പിച്ചതുമൊക്കെ ഇവിടെയാണു. ഇപ്പോള്‍ പള്ളിയല്ലെന്നു പറയുന്നതില്‍ എന്ത് ന്യായമെന്നു അവര്‍ ചോദിക്കുന്നു.
വൈദികന്‍ തന്റെ നിര്‍ദേശമനുസരിച്ചാണു പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നതെന്നും അദ്ധേഹത്തിനു തന്റെ പൂര്‍ണ പിന്തുണയുണ്ടെന്നും ചിക്കാഗോ സീറോ മലബാര് രൂപതാധ്യക്ഷന്‍ മാര്‍ ജേക്കബ് അങ്ങാടിയത്ത് ജേര്‍ണല്‍ ന്യൂസിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. തുടക്കം മുതല്‍ അച്ചനെതിരായ നടപടികളാണുണ്ടായത്. അച്ചന്‍ എന്തെങ്കിലും തെറ്റായതോ മോശമായതോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല. വൈദികനെയും സഭയെയും ഇടവകാംഗങ്ങള്‍ അനുസരിക്കണം-മാര്‍ അങ്ങാടിയത്ത് പറഞ്ഞു.
എണ്‍പത്താറു കുട്ടികള്‍ വേദപാഠം പഠിച്ചിരുന്നത് ഇവിടെയാണു. അവരുടെ പഠനം മുടങ്ങി. 80 പേരും വിവിധ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് പാരിഷുകളില്‍ വേദപാഠത്തിനു ചേരേണ്ട സ്ഥിതി വന്നു. വേദപാഠം കാരണം എല്ലാവരും പുതിയ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു ചെല്ലുമെന്നായിരിക്കാം കരുതിയത്. പക്ഷെ മഹാ ഭൂരിപക്ഷം ഇടവകക്കാര്‍ അതിനു തയ്യാറായില്ല.
സെന്റര്‍ ഒരു ചാപ്പലായി മാറ്റാന്‍ 2014-ല്‍ പൊതുയോഗം നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചതാണു. എന്നാല്‍ സെന്ററിന്റെ ഉടമാവകാശം രൂപതക്കു നല്‍കാതെ അതു പറ്റില്ലെന്നാണു മുന്‍ വികാരി പറഞ്ഞത്. അതിനു ഇടവകക്കാര്‍ക്കു താല്പര്യമില്ലായിരുന്നു.
അച്ചന്റെ ജ്യേഷ്ടന്‍ വൈദികനും മാര്‍ അങ്ങാടിയത്തൂം മറ്റ് ബിഷപ്പുമാരുമൊക്കെ വന്നു കുര്‍ബാന അര്‍പ്പിച്ചിട്ടൂളതാണിവിടെ. ഇപ്പോള്‍ പെട്ടെന്നു മനം മാറ്റത്തിന്റെ കാര്യം വ്യക്തമല്ല. മയാമിയില്‍ സമുദായത്തില്‍ വിള്ളലുണ്ടാക്കിയ അതേ അവസ്ഥയാണു ഇവിടെയും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുന്നത്-എബി പറഞ്ഞു.
വൈദികന്‍ തങ്ങളുടേ ശമ്പളക്കാരനാണെന്നും അതിനാല്‍ ചൊല്പടിക്കു നില്‍ക്കണമെന്നും ചിലര്‍ കരുതി. കുര്‍ബാന ക്രമത്തില്‍ പോലും കൈ കടത്തുന്ന സ്ഥിതി വന്നു. കുര്‍ബാനയുടെ ഭാഗമായ സ്‌തോത്ര കാഴ്ച കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് വികാരിയും കൈക്കാരന്മാരുമാണെന്നിരിക്കെ അത് സെന്ററിന്റെ നേതാക്കള്‍ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്ന സ്ഥിതി വന്നു.
ഒരു വിധത്തിലും തുടര്‍ന്നു പോകാന്‍ പറ്റാത്ത സ്ഥിതി വന്നപ്പോഴാണു കുര്‍ബാന മറ്റൊരിടത്തേക്കു മാറ്റിയത്. സഭാധിക്രുതരുടെ നിര്‍ദേശപ്രകാരമായിരുന്നു അത്. അതില്‍ തെറ്റ് ഉണ്ടായതായി കരുതുന്നില്ല. വൈദികനു തുടരാന്‍ പറ്റാത്ത സ്ഥിതി ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ശേഷം ഇപ്പോള്‍ അദ്ധേഹത്തെ തിരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവരാന്‍ പ്രതിഷേധം നടത്തുന്നതിലെ യുക്തിയും മനസിലാവുന്നില്ല.
ലോകത്തെവിടെയും പള്ളി സഭയുടെ ഭാഗമാണു. അല്ലാതെ ഇടവകക്കാരുടെ സ്വത്തല്ല.
വൈദികനും സമുദായാംഗമാണു. അദ്ധേഹത്തെപ്പോലുള്ളവരെ ഒഴിവാക്കി കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ തന്നെ തീരുമാനിക്കാം എന്നു സമുദായത്തിലെ ഒരു വിഭാഗം തീരുമാനിക്കുന്നതും ശരിയല്ല-എതിര്‍ വിഭാഗം പറയുന്നു.
ന്യു യോര്‍ക്കിലെ ക്നാനായ സമുദായത്തിനു കെ.സി.ഐ.എന്‍.എയും ഡി.കെ.സി.സി അംഗങ്ങളുംപൂര്‍ണ പിന്തുണ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുകയും ഫാ. ആദോപ്പള്ളിലിനെ തിരിച്ചു വിളിക്കണമെന്നു കോട്ടയം അതിരൂപതാധ്യക്ഷന്‍ മാര്‍ മാത്യു മൂലക്കാട്ടിനോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു.
പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ ചര്‍ച്ച വഴി പരിഹരിക്കണമെന്നു കെ.സി.സി.എന്‍.എ മുന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ബേബി ഊരാളില്‍ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.

For the past two weeks, angry congregants have protested in front of the Marian Shrine. Another vigil is set from 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday.
"The community is united," added Mathew.
It's not just Mass. With 125 families, the community center is a living bridge between Indian and American cultures, with ethnic activities and family-oriented religious classes.
The community center dates to 2001 when the lay group bought

The way things going we have to declare independence and hold on to our Center. For the religious class- we can do it here in the Center by our elders and youth. We can gather in the Center and read Bible, sing songs, few speeches . We don't need a priest.

Our Knanaya group can only survive by the help of God only. Our ancestors go through a lot of hardships but still they always stick with our church and faith in God. But these days knanaya people especially in America, becoming more in unspiritual activities and no faith in God and Church. These people are becoming the leaders of KCCNA. In other words, KCCNA and its most of sub units are controlled by some extremists that have no clue or vision for the betterment of this community. If you look at any local unit, these extremists are hijacking the entire community. They do not want listen other people and even consider their opinions. Even somebody try to correct them, they became outcast by these individuals. If you look at any association, institution or country, that are controlled by these kind of extremists, their existence and destruction on this earth will be in few years. Now some of the individuals saying that they don’t need a church. My humble request to them is please leave us alone. Because we need Church, priests, bishops and God.
My request to KCCNA leaders is that if you don’t change these bad strategies, you can see the death of this organization in few years. Community center is not for church activities but it is for other activities. We need a church that controlled by our priests for the religious activities. This is not my opinion, but it is the opinion of most of NORMAL KNANAYA PEOPLE.
