Solomon was David’s illegitimate child.  It is absolutely absurd you associate these good people with their David and Soloman  

The more the Bible is generated the more the truth is obscured.   Josephus doesn’t talk much about Jesus in his book (Josephus, Thrones of Blood.  A History of the Times of Jesus 37 B.C. to A.D. 70).  The following excerpt is taken from his book (Page 60) “There was about this time a wise man named Jesus-if it is lawful to call him a man, for he was a doer of wonderful works- a teacher of the type of men who enjoy hearing the truth. He drew many of the Jews and Gentiles to him; he was the Christ.  When Pilate, at the suggestion of the Jewish leaders, condemned him to the cross, those who loved him at first did not forsake him, for he appeared to him alive the third day, as the divine prophet has foretold, along with many other wonderful thing concerning him.  The tribe of Christians named for him still exists today.”   Though Josephus recorded this information in his book, he doesn’t say that he has witnessed any of Jesus work or heard him speaking.   From his writing, it is evident that he was provided the information or he heard someone talking about Jesus.  Everything is nowadays justified by numbers. Politicians and Religious leaders (two sides of the same coin) play this number game to make more people their slaves.   Just like the commentator is trying to say that the world is inundated with Bible so Bible is true.  Or millions of people believe that there is a God so Andrew and Anthappan are wrong.   Jesus was a fine man. His philosophies were simple and that was; love your neighbor as you love yourself.  But he was hated by religion for undermining their comfortable life then and now.   

Vayanakkaaran; you are trying to make things complex.   There are visiting Bible pundits on this page who can throw more light into it.  But the story I know is one below.

David was one of the remarkable men of the Old Testament. He was a capable musician and beloved poet. He excelled as a military leader and king. And as “a man after God’s own heart” he was an exceptional religious leader. Yet, in spite of his illustrious achievements, Israel’s greatest king was not without some grievous faults — not the least of which was his shameful conduct with Bathsheba (2 Sam. 11:1-27).

In the spring of the second year of Israel’s siege of Rabbah, David, who had remained in Jerusalem, arose one evening from his bed and saw, from the roof of his palace, the beautiful Bathsheba, wife of Uriah the Hittite, bathing.  Inflamed with passion, David sent for the immodest temptress and with her committed adultery.

From this evil union a child was conceived. When David was informed of Bathsheba’s pregnancy, he determined to conceal the sin. Accordingly, Uriah was summoned from the battle front under the presumption that, while on furlough, he would visit his wife, and thus when Bathsheba’s child was born, it would appear to be the offspring of Uriah.

Uriah, however, being the patriotic warrior that he was, refused to indulge in matrimonial pleasure so long as his comrades-in-arms were “encamped in the open field,” and thus deprived of similar domestic enjoyment. Frustrated, David then sought to intoxicate the soldier, to break down his resistance, that he might go down to his wife and so cover the illegitimate conception. But, again, Uriah “went not down to his house.”

Finally, in a truly desperate measure, the king sent him back to the battlefront; and by his hand he sent a message to Joab, his captain. Uriah was to be placed in “the forefront of the hottest battle.” The troops were to withdraw from him that he might be slain. Thus did the courageous warrior expire, never knowing of his wife’s infidelity with the king of Israel.

When Bathsheba heard of Uriah’s death, she went through the usual period of mourning; afterward, “David sent and took her home to his house; she became his wife, and bare him a son.” However, the inspired writer soberly adds this appendix: “But the thing that David had done displeased Jehovah” (2 Sam. 11:27).

DAVID – TEMPLE- SOLOMON - REAL OR JUST A LEGEND.?

Some interesting facts:

David was not allowed to build the temple because of his bloody past. Solomon was not different either. He attained the throne after killing David's son.

so far no one has found and remains of the mighty temple.

What is said about David-good and bad could be the stories of several kings of the Hebrews. The Jesubites had the temple of Zadok on the Jerusalem mount and later it could have been renovated by Hebrew kings. The materials collected for the temple has different quantity in two different places. the gold coins given by David was minted several hundred years after the said life time of David and Solomon.

The small kingdom of Israel fell around 720 BCE and Judea fell by 586 BCE. The priests were captured and had to work hard making bricks for the Babylonian temple. During that time they combined the theo- literature of both kingdoms. That is the present day old testament bible. It was done by Babylon return priests to establish authority on the Hebrews. They built an altar and demanded animal sacrifice and good wine and 10 % of many things earned by the Hebrews. But they refused- details can be read in the books of the prophets.

The entire OT is fabricated fiction and creative imagination. Yes the places and people may be true. But what is said about them is fiction.

The new testament writers also copied the same style.

The story of Jesus was later added by 'christian fathers' in the book; Jewish Antiquity. They did the same with Rabbinic texts too. In the original books; Jesus was never mentioned.

The Romans had state of the art record keeping system during the so called time of Jesus. There is no mention of Jesus in Roman records too.

What is mentioned in Josephus book about Jesus is fraud. The word Christians was not yet coined during Josephus time. The 'acts of the apostles' a second century book used the word Christians. The book is full of fictitious stories and incidents. It is written to 'make believe' what is written is history.

The book was written by priests to fool others the hierarchy, authority and power of apostolic tradition. The hidden heroes of the book are priests.
