Insecurity and intolerance arising out of it is widespread. This intolerance and insecurity destroy the inner peace and make life stressful for many. Religious and racial forces are contributing to this intolerance by creating fear and suspecion of others different from them and advocating castration of minority groups. Let love, peace and tolerance and acceptance of others as they are fill our hearts in this Vishu season for a better tomorrow.Appreciate the good work 'emalayalee' is doing.

Onam and Christmas are the figment of imaginations of the
crooks and imposed on you by religion and business people. It cannot bring joy for you or anyone else
because the joy you are deriving from it is momentary. As Andrew said, when you take care of your
fellow beings by feeding, by providing shelter, cloths, and by taking care of
many basic needs, you will be deriving true joy. I salute Andrew for standing up and shouting
the truth, the real truth. Don’t pay attention to the crowed because they
are pawns in the hands of the most wicked people, and that is religion. Go Andrew Go!! . Congratulations to E-Malayalee for a great work by giving a chance to express our thoughts whether the commentators agree or disagree. It is not easy to run this without out dedication, commitment, and money.

It is more appropriate for those writing here talk for themselves, or give firsthand information. It is understandable when a member of a group criticize the group if injustice done. There also there must be proper channel to address complaints. When an atheist complaint about a church it can be based on his/her per-concepts. He has no right to generalize about religion as he doesn't know the peace and joy religion give to others. These people are judgmental here, and it is more propaganda than substance. They have no right to talk for all God believing people of all religions. It is just foolishness.

first. It is fascinating,fun and thought provoking especially

of you find joy in pulling them down. But they are far above your
reach.
It
stuck in me deep what andrew said about vishu kani. He is telling us
the real meaning of which no one saw that dimension before. It is the
core of all morality. I was born in a hindu family but grew above and
out of it very quick. I am a reformed or reborn hindu far above the
temple religion.
It
is said,Jesus said, love your neighbor as if he is you. And that is
the true message of vishu. All humans should have the opportunity to
see all the good things in this earth together. Luxry and richness
should not be a privilige of few. Even the Jewish scholars are
preaching that Messiah' is not a person but a time frame when all
humans will live in harmony and peace.
Eventhough
it seems that the age of prophets are gone, we can see them in a
different form. The modern prophets are not walking naked or clad in
Camel skin or saffron cloth like old age prophets. But you can see
their visions in e- malayalee, facebook and so on. Their words are
powerful than swords. So before you cast stones at them listen to
what they are saying with an unbiased mind and heart.
A
question to 'vivekan' will you be able to write the same comment if
you were born in the street, beg for your food, sleep in the street
? well you are fortunate and you did not do anything of your own to
be born in a rich family. And the poor, the street dwellers they did
not do anything wrong to be born there. So help them as much as you
can and that is the beginning of wisdom [ vivekam]

product of god why should it evole? Then god should be evolving too ?
In

The 'modern day prophets' who bless the pages of e-malayalee and facebook are truly amazing. No matter what the subject of discussion is, they land there to offer their 'words of wisdom' about the crooks of religion. When they are criticized, they instantly change into hindu female followers with names like Sarada or Revathi to praise their prophets. The females are such strong followers that they use the same words and the same font style and size as their masters. They are lucky. Only they have been lucky enough to touch their masters who are far above the other poor mortal souls.

Many of these all knowing prophets trying to liberate the massess are blind leading the aimless. Once liberated even the leaders do not know where they are going.If you ask them where they are going, they will wide open their mouth (Ah!).

Since Ms. Revathi touched on my comment, let me offer an explanation. Religion is evolving for a long time. In the beginning, man worshipped the natural forces such as wind, fire etc. As the thinking changed on the concepts of force through scientific development, it became necessary to change the dieties. But it is impossible to dismiss the idea either philosophically or scientifically that a unform force is in control of the universe as we see it.
We may admit that the philosophical development of religion has some meaning if it helps to unite the human race for its own well-being. But I would say the so-called leaders of religions has hi-jacked the essence of religion and shamelessly using the common man to acheive their selfish purposes such as political power, financial gain and even pleasures of the flesh.
The tenets of various religions under microscopic review will turn out to be the same. It may be summarized as "Love your neighbor as yourself". When Jesus explained this principle, he deliberately chose a person outside Jewish religion (remember Jesus lived as a Jew)to show that the person who was not a Jew exhibited God's love to the fallen neighbor.
If 'A' cannot love 'B' because of the religion of either, then their undersanding of their religion is quite futile.
