ബോസ്റ്റൺ: ഫാ. സലിം ജോസഫ് ചക്കുങ്കൽ OFM, 58,  ബോസ്റ്റണിൽ അന്തരിച്ചു.

പരേതരായ സി എം ജോസഫ് ചക്കുങ്കേലിന്റെയും ഏലിക്കുട്ടി ജോസഫിന്റെയും മകനാണ്.  

ഇന്ത്യയിലെ കരിംകുന്നത്ത് ജനിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം 1994 ഏപ്രിൽ 5-ന് ഫ്രാൻസിസ്‌കൻ ഓർഡർ ഓഫ് ഫ്രയാർസ്‌  മൈനർ അംഗമായി അഭിഷിക്തനായി.  2018 സെപ്റ്റംബറിൽ അദ്ദേഹം സെന്റ് പീറ്റേഴ്‌സ്ബർഗ് രൂപതയിലെത്തി.  ടാമ്പയിലെ സേക്രഡ് ഹാർട്ട് ക്നാനായ ഇടവകയുടെ ഇടവക വികാരിയായി

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Fr. Salim Joseph Chackungel (OFM), who left us at the age of 58 earlier today in Boston. 
Fr. Salim was born to the late C.M Joseph Chackungel and Aley kutty Joseph. 
He is survived by his loving siblings Jose and Daisy Chackungel Thampi & Shainy Chackungel Ancy & Johnson Lisy & Thomas Puthenpurakal Biji & Philip Pindakadavil Binu & Jose Nedumakal Bindhu & Mathew Kariparampil 

The funeral service will be held in Tampa, with further details to be announced by the family. 

A Memorial Mass to remember and pray for the departed soul will be held today at 6:00 PM at our Church. We ask for your prayers for the grieving family, that the Almighty God may grant them strength during this time of profound loss.
