ഫോമയുടെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറിയും അമേരിക്കയുടെ ഐറ്റി ഹബ്ബായ സിയാറ്റിലിലെ കലാകായികസാംസ്കാരിക മേഖലയിലെ നിറസാന്നിധ്യവുമായ ശ്രീ. ഓജസ് ജോൺ ലോകകേരളസഭയുടെ ഔദ്യോഗിക അംഗമായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ജൂണ്‍ 13 മുതല്‍ 15 വരെ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് നിയമസഭാമന്ദിരത്തിൽ ചേരുന്ന നാലാം ലോകകേരളസഭയില്‍ സഭാഅംഗങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം, 103 രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും, എല്ലാ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലും നിന്നും ഒട്ടേറെ  പ്രവാസി പ്രതിനിധികളും പങ്കെടുക്കും. കേരളം ഓണ്‍ലൈന്‍ പോര്‍ട്ടലും, കേരള മൈഗ്രേഷന്‍ സര്‍വ്വേയും ഈ ലോകകേരള സഭയിൽ ഉദ്‌ഘാടനം ചെയ്യപ്പെടും.

ഐറ്റി നേതൃത്വ  രംഗത്ത് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന, മൂവാറ്റുപുഴ സ്വദേശിയായ ഓജസിന്റെ  ഭാര്യ മിലി മൈക്രോസോഫ്റ്റിൽ  എൻജിനീയറിംഗ് മാനേജരാണ്. ഏക മകൻ ജോഷ്വ സ്കൂൾ വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയാണ്.  ലോകകേരളസഭയുടെ ന്യൂയോർക്ക്  മേഖലാസമ്മേളനത്തിലെ രജിസ്ട്രേഷൻ കമ്മിറ്റിക്ക് ഓജസ് ജോൺ ഫോമ ടീമിനൊപ്പം കിടയറ്റ നേതൃത്വം നൽകിയിരുന്നു. സമ്മേളനത്തിൽ കൃത്യമായി പഠിച്ച്  സമഗ്രമായ എട്ടു നിർദേശങ്ങളും ഓജസ് ജോൺ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു . ഈ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം ഏറെ വിശദമായി ചീഫ് സെക്രട്ടറി ശ്രീ വി.പി ജോയ് IAS, LKS ഡയറക്ടർ Dr. കെ. വാസുകി  അടക്കമുള്ളവരുമായി പങ്കു വെയ്ക്കുകയൂം ചെയ്തു.

കേരളം കേരളത്തിൽ മാത്രമായി ഒതുങ്ങി നിൽക്കാതെ, ഒത്തിരി ഒത്തിരി കൊച്ചു കേരളങ്ങൾ ലോകത്തിന്റെ നാനാഭാഗത്തും ഉള്ളപ്പോൾ, അവരുടെ എല്ലാം ആശയങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കാൻ എങ്കിലുമായി ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു സംരംഭത്തിന് രൂപം നൽകിയത് ഏറെ  ശ്ലാഘനീയമാണ്. എന്നിരുന്നാലും ഒരു കുറ്റവും പറയാനില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ബ്രഹദ് സമ്മേളനമാണ് ലോകകേരളസഭ എന്നൊരു അഭിപ്രായം ശ്രീ. ഓജസിന് ഇല്ല. കാരണം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വാക്കുകളിൽ തന്നെ പറഞ്ഞാൽ പദ്ധതികൾ ആസൂത്രണം ചെയ്ത ശേഷം കൃത്യമായും, സമയബന്ധിതമായും  "FOLLOW UP " ചെയ്യുന്ന കാര്യത്തിൽ നമ്മൾ പൊതുവെ അല്പം പിന്നിലാണ്. മേല്പറഞ്ഞ എട്ടു നിർദേശങ്ങളിൽ ചിലതിനു മുഖ്യ മന്ത്രി തന്നെ നേരിട്ട് മറുപടി പറയുകയും, ചില ആശയങ്ങൾ നടപ്പാക്കാനുള്ള നിർദേശങ്ങൾ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടവർക്ക് നൽകുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. മുൻസമ്മേളനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് 67 നിർദേശങ്ങൾ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. എല്ലാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട പദ്ധതികൾക്കും തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് പത്രികയുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ ചെയ്യുന്നത് പോലെ ഒരു പ്രോഗ്രസ്സ് റിപ്പോർട്ട് ഏറെ ഉചിതമായിരിക്കും.

FOUR Suggestions for Nava Kerala Nirmithi:

1) PUBLISH “Help Needed in Kerala” Verified Projects with Scope and Cost in LKS Website. Let Pravasi Organizations of the World even have a friendly competition to own the project; once a project is completed, update the site with income and expense details for transparency. Examples can be a School needing a Room, a Hospital needing Beds, Ventilators etc.

# Norka Roots / USA:

2) CREATE a simple Google Form for American Pravasi Malayalees to submit queries which can be replied back in 3-4 Days. I believe we currently don’t have a Website for Norka Roots / USA.

# Malayalam Language:

3) SIMPLIFY and Gamify Malayalam Mission Classes. Maybe 5 easy levels in an App. This will help reach a much wider diaspora, standardize Malayalam proficiency and open new avenues.

# Immigration out of Kerala.

4) ENGINEER Reverse Brain Drain by creating a simple online channel for Expat professionals working in higher fields to impart knowledge / transfer. Topics can be on Waste Management, Geographic Information Systems, Road Safety, Emergency Preparedness, IT trends etc.

FOUR LKS Specific / Generic Suggestions:

5) UPDATE Outcome/Results of previous LKS Sessions in LKS Website. Thank you for presenting them today; but it’s not present in the Site

6) APPOINT a Single Point of Contact, possibly an MLA/Ex. MLA to provide advice / support for America specific Pravasi Land-related issues as Reform to Pravasi Protection Bill will take time.

7) PRINT Kerala Tourism Promotion Posters with specific packages and Distribute at Times Square during CM’s address. With at least 500 going, we can reach out to 2500 so easily if each person hands it over to 5 each. (This was relevant for New York Meet, but the idea is promotion of specific Tourist spots in Kerala during these kinds of Global Meetups)

8) CONSTITUTE a 6 Month Online Townhall Followup to this meeting to provide Updates on Action Items to add greater credibility to the discussions and to the Action Items.

Each of the above 8 specific, easy to do suggestions can be kick-started IN A MATTER OF HOURS.. Will be presenting this directly to respected Chief Minister CM too. The largest Pravasi Malayali Association of the World, FOMAA and myself personally, is ready to lend any Technical or Logistical support for implementation..Let’s do our best for our beautiful state.
