From a shop I bought a hose
Long enough to reach my plants
For, they daily need some water
To survive in hard summer!

All my plants were growing well
As I daily watered them
But I saw one day with surprise
A hole on the brand-new hose!

With much zeal to patch the hole,
I picked up the faulty hose
Then I saw wildflowers growing
Close behind my garden fence!

Though I planted none of them
All looked pretty in my eyes
Knew, they got the water needed
From the leaky hose I placed!


With a lofty thought that flashed
At that moment in my heart,
I then quickly did decide
Surely, not to patch the hole!
