ഫിലഡല്‍ഫിയ: ഓര്‍മാ ഇന്റര്‍നാഷണല്‍ ഫിലഡല്‍ഫിയാ ചാപ്റ്റര്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഭാരതസ്വാതന്ത്ര്യദിനാഘോഷ മത്സരങ്ങള്‍ ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 11, ഞായറാഴ്ച്ച,  പ്രസിഡന്റ്  ഷൈലാ രാജന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ നടക്കും. വൈകുന്നേരം 3 മുതല്‍ 6 മണി വരെയാണ് മത്സരങ്ങള്‍. ഫിലഡല്‍ഫിയാ ഹണ്ടിങ്ങ്ടന്‍ വാലിയില്‍,  സെന്റ് മേരീസ് കതീഡ്രല്‍  ഓര്‍ത്തഡോക്‌സ് ചര്‍ച്ച് ഓഡിറ്റോറിയത്തിലാണ് കലാമത്സരങ്ങള്‍ ക്രമീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.   ഗ്രാന്റ് പേരന്റ്‌സ് പങ്കെടുക്കുന്ന പാചക മത്സരവും, കുട്ടികളുടെ ചിത്രരചനാ മത്സരവുമാണ് പ്രധാന മത്സര ഇനങ്ങള്‍.  വിജയികള്‍ക്ക് ട്രോഫികളും സമ്മാനങ്ങളും സെപ്റ്റംബര്‍ 22 ഞായറാഴ്ച്ച ഓര്‍മാ ഇന്റര്‍നാഷണല്‍ ഗ്രാന്റ് പേരന്റ്‌സ് ഡേ ആഘോഷ വേദിയില്‍ നല്‍കും.

For Coloring Competition:  criteria to evaluate entries- creativity and originality , coloring skill, neatness, and overall appeal: Kids coloring context 1. Three categories for competition: Age 3-5, Ages 5 - 8 and Ages 9 - 12.   2. Only crayons or colored lead pencils maybe used.  Colored markers will be disqualified.  No gluing on of extra materials or embellishment will be allowed. 3. Entries will be judged for neatness, use of color, and eye appeal. For Drawing Competition: criteria to evaluate entries- creativity and originality, and the quality of the artwork and artistic skill.

Cooking contest (For Grandparents) criteria: Taste: Flavor balance, texture, and aftertaste * Presentation: Portion size, appearance, and deliciounsess * Sanitation and hygiene: clean work areas and professional grooming.
