It is important to pay attention to politics and their effect on our day-to-day lives. If we do, we can express our views confidently instead of quoting someone else. This attitude also gives us ammunition to argue against the stupidity we see in our media outlets when necessary. This is happening more these days than ever before. Why is this? Are we too stupid and lazy to accept every nonsense that is pushed to us? I believe we have many components working unjustly. This is not a good scenario. Our brains are to be used until we die. This will force us to think whether we should die with a clear consciousness or be stupid enough to let others who think for themselves guide us to become who we are. I refuse to accept the fact that we are dumb. We live in a world where some people accept everything, and some people question before accepting what is given to us. I like to think that the majority of people are in the latter category. Unfortunately, by human nature, we give an unfair advantage to people who continually spread misinformation. When it happens frequently, there is a chance some of us will fall for their propaganda. Let us look at some current events. Remember, most of what we see today has roots long before we are able to say our first words. The situations change as time passes. This is an undebatable fact. As wise human beings, we have to consider those circumstances. But the politicians take the opportunity and try to manipulate our lack of understanding in a way that justifies their existence. Do we need to be in that position? I don’t contribute to that kind of stuff. Case in point is the “Birthright” issue. There was a time when it was acceptable and needed. But now, it cannot be accepted because people created a scenario where they saw it as an opportunity to get an easy way to get citizenship in this country. When people abuse a system and manipulate the circumstances to take advantage for their own personal benefit, some people who think rationally take notice. One of these people is President Trump. Yes, I support him for reasons that I explained many times before. By the way, you are not obligated to read further because of my stand. President Trump was treated unfairly for a long period of time by politicians who have nothing better to do. We have seen double standards in the treatment of him and other people who have held similar positions in name only. Did you notice that? If you didn’t, then don’t continue to read because it will not make any sense to you. This is not to say that you are below the average human intelligence. But it is a natural phenomenon. President Trump is a wounded lion who comes back with a vengeance. The facts are clear for those people who follow history. Iran has been a constant threat to America. A nation that chanted “ Death to America “ is being asked why. They don’t mean the country, but people who live in this country. ( This means you and me) The president of Iran can say that they love the American people. But it is too late, sir. Your country was given a fair amount of time to come to its senses. But you miscalculated President Trump by measuring him with other presidents who didn’t have the insight as this president. The only thing left for you is to accept the fact that you goofed. If you care about the remaining people in your country, do the right thing. That is surrender with remaining dignity. Domestically, what are we seeing? We had a BLM “Nokings” rally again, and a government shutdown again. Most people don’t even know what the ” Nokings” rally is about. During the unrest among the university students, one student was asked why she was there. She had to ask another student. I don’t blame that student. She is a product of the time. Do we really need to be that caliber? I hope not. The “Big Beautiful Bill” also came into our attention. I don’t know a whole lot about what it is. From what I know, it seems to make sense by helping ordinary people. No tax on tips and overtime is helping those who otherwise had to report to the IRS. It also helps people not to have taxes on social security. Doesn’t that make sense? Another topic that caught our attention is the gas prices. Is this the first time the gas price has gone up? I remember pumping petrol for 3 rupees and 60 ps /gallon. What are we paying now? Give me a break!. We are not that stupid, are we? Now, let us look at another issue that the Democrats are fighting for. That is voter ID. They imported a lot of people who did not meet the criteria that you and I have met. In many cases, they transported them to different parts of the country overnight and labelled those places as “sanctuary cities.” When things went out of control (remember the recent killing of a young woman in Chicago), the only thing the Governor of Chicago had to say was that the person was not an ”illegal”, but an ”undocumented” person. What a cruel joke!. We have several other examples of the brutality of these protected people. Hakeem Jeffrey was asked about the recent event. His response was, “We will look into it.” It's been several weeks. Did we hear anything from him? They also did not like the ICE agents near the polling booth. Why? According to them, the ICE agents will terrorise the voters. So, asking for the ID to prove the citizenship is terrorising?. They'd better come up with a better believable excuse. Folks, it's time for us to have a self-evaluation. Do we like what we see?. We may not be able to change every injustice and its justifications. But we can make the right decisions without fear. PS. I may not have written this comment under the "right " article. My apologies.
