ലബനനിൽ വച്ച അഭിഷിക്തനായ ശ്രേഷ്ഠ കാതോലിക്കാ ബസേലിയോസ് ജോസഫ് പ്രഥമൻ ബാവക്ക് ന്യു യോർക്ക് റോക്ക് ലാൻഡിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഷൈമി  ജേക്കബ് ബാവയെപ്പറ്റി താനെഴുതിയ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് കവിത ഫലകത്തിലാക്കി സമർപ്പിച്ചത് ഏറെ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായി.

വിശ്വാസവും  ജ്ഞാനവും  കൃപയും നിറഞ്ഞ  ഇടയനായ അഭിവന്ദ്യ മോർ ബസേലിയോസ് ജോസഫ് ബാവയെ  നമ്മൾ  ആദരിക്കുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ ദിവ്യവിളിയിലേയ്ക്ക് ഉയരുമ്പോൾ, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പാത ദൈവിക  വെളിച്ചത്താൽ പ്രകാശിക്കട്ടെ, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദം സത്യത്തിന്റെ  പ്രതിധ്വനിയാകട്ടെ , അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നേതൃത്വം പ്രത്യാശയുടെ  ദീപസ്തംഭവുമാകട്ടെ. ഈ കവിത അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അചഞ്ചലമായ ഭക്തിക്കുള്ള  അഞ്ജലിയാണ്, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കരുത്തിനും  ആരോഗ്യത്തിനും വേണ്ടിയുള്ള പ്രാർത്ഥനയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധവും മനോഹരവുമായ യാത്രയുടെ ആഘോഷവുമാണ്.

ദൈവമേ, കരുണയും ദിവ്യസ്നേഹവും നിറഞ്ഞവനേ,
ഇന്ന്, അങ്ങയുടെ മഹത്വം പ്രകാശിക്കട്ടെ.

ലെബനന്റെ കുന്നുകൾ ഭക്തിയോടെ നിലകൊള്ളുമ്പോലെ,
ഈ ഇടയനെ അങ്ങയുടെ കൈകൊണ്ട് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കണമേ.

ബാല്യം മുതൽ കൃപയിൽ  അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പാതയെ,
ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ വാഞ്ചയെ അവിടുന്ന്  രൂപപ്പെടുത്തി.

തിളക്കമുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്തോടെ മുന്നേറിയ  ഡീക്കൻ,
ഇപ്പോൾ വിശുദ്ധ വെളിച്ചത്തിൽ നയിക്കാൻ വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

ആഴമേറിയതും മഹത്തായതുമായ പരീക്ഷണങ്ങലുണ്ടായിട്ടും
അദ്ദേഹം അങ്ങയുടെ കൽപ്പനപ്രകാരം നടന്നു.

Honoring His Beatitude Mor Baselios Joseph

On this sacred day, March 25, 2025, we honor His Beatitude Mor Baselios Joseph, a shepherd of faith, wisdom, and grace. As he ascends to his divine calling, may his path shine with God’s light, his voice echo with truth, and his leadership be a beacon of hope. This poem stands as a tribute to his unwavering devotion, a prayer for his strength, his health and a celebration of his sacred and graceful journey.

O Lord, full of mercy, love divine,
Upon this day, let Your glory shine.
As Lebanon’s hills in reverence stand,
Bless this shepherd by Your hand.

From childhood days in humble grace,
You shaped his path, his heart’s embrace.
A deacon young, with faith so bright,
Now called to lead in holy light.

Through trials deep and lessons grand,
He walked the road by Your command.
With wisdom taught by saints of old,
His spirit strong, his calling bold.

The Bawa past, with hands so kind,
Bestowed his prayers, his will aligned.
The Patriarch, with blessings pure,
Now seals his role, steadfast and sure.

O Jesus Christ, anoint his soul,
Let love and truth his steps control.
Holy Spirit, fire divine,
Upon his lips, let wisdom shine.

Before the Synod’s sacred hall,
May heaven’s voice upon him call.
With peace and justice as his guide,
Let faith in him forever abide.

O Lord of ages, near and far,
Bless our Bawa, like a Sol star.
Through Lebanon’s hills, let echoes ring,
A servant crowned to serve the King.
