വിധിയിൽ ശാപത്താൽ, ദണ്ഡനത്തി,ലങ്ങനെ                                                                
എടുത്തുകളഞ്ഞൂ ദൈവ,മെൻ സർവ്വതും.                                                                                        
തൻ ലോകങ്ങളേവം മറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു ഞാൻ:                                                   
എനിക്കിപ്പൊളുള്ളതോ, പ്രതികാരംമാത്രം  

സാഭിമാനം ചെയ്യും ഞാനതെന്നോടുതന്നെ,                                                                                                              
അതിനോടും--ആ സിംഹാസനസ്ഥപ്രഭുവിനോട്.                                                              
മെച്ചമെന്നുണ്മ പ്രതിഫലരഹിതമാകിലും ഞാൻ                                                                                           
ദൗർബ്ബല്യങ്ങൾ ചേർത്തുവച്ചു പടുക്കുമെന്റെ ശക്തി.

അങ്ങുയരെ പണിയും ഞാനെൻ രാജാസനം.                                                                              
അതിന്നുച്ചം തണുതണുത്തതും ഭയങ്കരവും;                                                                                         
അതിന്റെ പ്രാകാരം അന്ധവിശ്വാസത്തിലെ ഭയം,;                                                            
അതിന്റെ മേധാവി കറുകറുത്ത വേദന.

അതിനെ നോക്കുമരോഗദൃഷ്ടനും പിൻതിരിയും,                                              
ശവതുല്യം വിളറിയും മൂകമായും;                                                                                 
അന്ധവും തണുത്തതുമായ മൃത്യുവാൽ ഗ്രസ്തമായ്                                         
അവന്റെയാനന്ദം മൃത്യുവിന് ശവക്കല്ലറയൊരുക്കട്ടെ!

അഭേദ്യമാകുമാ ഉരുക്കുഭീമാകാരത്തിൽ തട്ടി                                                                                        
സർവ്വശക്തന്റെ മിന്നൽപ്പിണറുകൾ മടങ്ങും;                                                                                         
ആ കോട്ടയും ഗോപുരങ്ങളും അവൻ തകർഞ്ഞാലും                                                            
നിത്യത അവയെ വാശിയോടെ പുനർനിർമമ്മിക്കും●

ഇങ്ങനെ, തന്റെ ഇരുപതുകളുടെ ആദ്യപാദത്തിലെഴുതിയ കവിതകളിലുണ്ട് ആ പ്രതിഷേധ-പ്രതികാരചിന്ത.  ആ മഹാപ്രതിഭ ജീവാവാപംചെയ്ത കമ്മ്യൂണിസത്തിന്റെ വൈരുദ്ധ്യാത്മിക ഭൗതികവാദത്തിലെ വിരോധാഭാസത്തെയും ചരിത്രപരപമായ അപചയത്തെയും പറ്റിയുമുള്ളൊരു ലഘുമുഖവുരയോടെ ഇക്കഴിഞ്ഞ സർഗ്ഗവേദിയിൽ അവതരി പ്പച്ചത്.

1818-1873.   1. Not an atheist. Certainly religious, but a staunch critic of religion.   A secular humanist, anti-religious.   He eagerly envisioned the destruction of whole classes.                                                                                      

2. Revenge against God!   It is bizarre. His goal in advocating Communism was not to help humanity but to enact a sort of vengeance against heaven.
